This Best Western Hotel Villa Mabapa is a 10-minute walk from the beach and the Palazzo del Cinema, site of the prestigious Venice International Film Festival, held in late summer. The hotel features a restaurant spotlighting Venetian fare, outdoor dining in the summer, and a bar with a drawing-room ambience. Complimentary boat excursions are available to Murano Island, where guests can watch glass-blowing demonstrations.
A computer station offers high-speed Internet access (surcharge). An on-site library, awash in natural light, is a peaceful retreat.

The Best Western Hotel Villa Mabapa, Venice, has 72 air-conditioned rooms, some with balconies overlooking the Venetian lagoon. Rooms are housed in three buildings--one modern, the other two built in the 1930s. Rooms vary in size and decor, but all have satellite TVs, minibars, and dial-up Internet access (surcharge). Marble or tiled bathrooms have bidets and showers or shower/bathtub combinations.
Dining
Villa Mabapa Restaurant - The spotlight is on Venetian cuisine, served on blue Murano-glass plates. Decor includes parquet flooring, cane chairs, and white tablecloths. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In summer, the flower-filled front patio offers alfresco dining under pine trees.
The Bar - The bar has a drawing-room feel, with Oriental rugs, antique oil paintings, doors paneled in blue glass, a grand piano, and blue sofas with orange piping. Tea, coffee, snacks, and cocktails are served from late morning until late night.
Recreation
The Lido has 15 km (nine miles) of beach facing the Adriatic Sea. The hotel is a 10-minute walk, or a two-minute bicycle ride, from the beach, which is accessible from June 15th to August 30th (surcharges apply). Beach cabanas (surcharge), sun loungers, and beach umbrellas are offered. A golf course is also on the Lido. Guests have complimentary use of the hotel's bicycles during the summer months.

“Good Location and Good Value”
Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Mabapa. We went to Venice during 'Carnevale' and the stay here on the Lido was a nice haven away from the hustle and bustle of central Venice (although we did find the Lido a bit short of restaurants and bars). With only a 12 minute boat ride into town and the stop right outside the hotel we found the location excellent. Our standard room was spacious and clean with a small balcony overlooking the hotel garden. The staff were also friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this hotel for any stay in Venice.
“Extremely Surprised”
I booked this hotel for my family last minute simply because the rate was rather reasonable considering the fact that we were in Venice. I also thought it would be nicer to be close by St. Mark's Square yet a boat ride away from the business. It was perfect! Take the ferry boat, the LN line rather than the waterbus as the LN boat drops you off right in front of the hotel rather than a taxi ride or 20 minute walk away. It also still costs the same. If you purchase a 24 hour or 36 hour all day pass its good for all the waterbus lines. Service was great. If you are a non smoker make sure you specify a non smoking room as i believe it is a completely separate building from smokers.
“Will definitely go back”
Had a great few nights here. A lot of reviews said the service was snooty but we didn't find it so. We found the staff were pleasent. Maybe it depends on peoples expectations of a 4 star hotel. Buffett breakfast was great. We had a garden room with a bit of balcony but as we spent most of our time on the main island of Venice we didn't use it. Room was comfortable and quiet. Pleasant 10mins walk from vaparetto stop, and there is a bus that stops outside the hotel. Would definitely go back.
“Very Happy With This Hotel”
We found this hotel to be excellent. It was away from the touristy crowds, noises and most of all, almost Vespa-free! The island is quiet, lovely and reasonably tourist-free (or so it appears). Yet the hotel was within easy walking distance to the water taxis to get to San Marco and also easy walking distance to the center of town. We found wonderful restaurants nearby. The staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly. The hotel restaurant was excellent, tho a little pricey. We ate dinner there only once. The breakfast is pretty starchy but good. I don't know the price as it came included with our rate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would return there again!
“Great place to stay!”
I loved this hotel - The room was a good size , clean and nicely decorated .But the best thing was the view from the balcony across the sea to venice! it was in a good location - nothing more than a stroll away and although it was right by the car ferry ( which was good for us as we drove the car on to the Lido )-there was no noise. The breakfast was good too - I would DEFINITELY go back!
“Would stay again”
We were there during off season (Nov 08). Our original room was too small for 2 people. Upon request they moved us to a large room on the ground floor with our own patio. It was fantastic. No extra charge. Service was excellent as were the manager (Umberto) and staff. The food in their restaurant was very good and quite ample. Very easy to find. Took water taxi (public) #1 to Lido. The bus (1 Euro) takes you about 3 doors from the hotel. Without luggage, walk is about 10 mins. Hotel on the main waterfront road. One can also take a private water taxi thru the hotel for about 90 Euros for 2 people and luggage.
“A comfortable quiet hotel”
A very pleasant hotel situated within yards of the ferry service to St Mark's Square. The hotel is in a quiet location and both the friendliness, helpfullness and quality of service were exemplary. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and we had a pleasant balcony overlooking the gardens.
“Good Location”
The Lido location was perfect for us. Got a VenicePass that included bus and water bus unlimited rides for 72 hours. Bus let us off almost at the hotel front door from the water bus stop at Lido. Hotel had a free water taxi ride to Murano glass factory which we also enjoyed. Walk to the beach.
“Very Satisfactory”
A wonderful Hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A nice quite place after the hustle and bustle of Venice. High Recommended
