Nice hotel but staff needs some trainingPosted 8-Jul-2014
We checked in for a one night stay. We were assured that as we had a 6:50am flight we would be provided with a take away breakfast. The hotel arranged a 5 am shuttle at €5 per person to the airport. The night attendant was pleasant when he notified us that there was no breakfast and he wasn't responsible as he was only the night clerk. Terrible communication among the staff. Very disappointing for a four star hotel

Very bad experiencePosted 8-Jul-2014
We arrived at 8:30pm, We had reserved 2 rooms and the front lady put us in 2 rooms far from each other like literally from end to end of the bldg. Separated us from our children, so inconsiderate! Then my husband lost his chess board on the front deal counter and front desk claimed no one saw it. Big chessboard disappeared in thin air.

Venice Hotel before a CruisePosted 6-Jul-2014
Pros: A good hotel, in a good position for Venice, very clean and tidy. A very good breakfast included in the price. We would use again if we return.
Location: It's on the main road, about 10 mins from the airport on the bus. It's in a village, a pizza shop across the road, a fruit shop which sells water.
We were recommended this Hotel for a two day break in Venice before the start of our cruise. We rang the hotel from the airport for the shuttle bus to collect us, 5 euros each. Although a little early the room was ready for us overlooking the Lagoon. It was a good size with two queen size beds, some rooms have one king size bed. Coffee and tea making was provided and we did ask for extra tea from the maid for the evening when we returned to the room. A lovely modern bathroom, with a bath and a good shower. Also a free safe for passports etc in the room. Everything throughout the hotel was very clean. The breakfast provided in the price made a good start to the morning eating well before hitting Venice! The hotel also provided the shuttle bus to the port 5 euros each. There is a bar and outside seating. From the reception you can buy the bus / boat ticket which is well worth the money, 12, 24 and 36 hours, the 36 hours which we bought was 25 euros each, you zap it on the transport each time you get on. The bus stop is about 25 yards away from the hotel just around the corner. It takes about 30 mins into Venice bus station where you can catch the boats up and down the canals, getting off at any stop, number 1 stops at every stop and number 2 is a quicker boat missing some stops. It also takes you to the Lido (beach) about a 45 mins ride, sit outside and take all your photos, when you get to the Lido, price for meals are much cheaper, 10 euros for a general bar type meal.

Very basic hotel, but it is close to the airport. The airport shuttle is only 5 euro each way per person, which is pretty cheap for that area.

One to avoidPosted 29-Jun-2014
Pros: Checking out.
Cons: More helpful staff, better breakfast choices, less noise and light in the rooms.
Location: The hotel is in Mestre, outside of Venice, and Mestre is residential. There is nothing to do there.
The hotel looks like it's seen better days. The staff do the least they can to get by. The room, top floor, was nice but spoilt by a noisy fridge (not a quiet mini bar as you get in most hotels) and bright tech panel lights that glow all night whether you like it or not. The hotel is 20 minutes from the centre of Venice (we timed it). That's fine, but they should be honest about it on Expedia. Breakfast was the worst offering I've had anywhere - Europe, Far East, Russia, America. Unrecognisable cereals, tiny slices of toast, diluted juice and tasteless coffee. Not really sure how it qualifies as a 4 star hotel...

Updated rooms, great air conditioning, very clean.Posted 26-Jun-2014
Pros: Great buffet breakfast was included. Fairly close to bus stop to Venice and the airport.
Cons: I would prefer carpeted flooring instead of the painted concrete floors. Having more towel racks would really be nice. Having facial tissues.
Location: Laundromat and coop food store are within walking distance. Two small restaurants across the street.
Beds were comfortable, room was short on storage (no dressers or drawers, and only two towel hooks in the bathroom.)

Reasonable hotel close to venice.Posted 26-Jun-2014
Pros: close location to airport
Cons: eating options close to hotel. very bad wifi
Venice is a tourist with hoardes of tourist coming from all over the world. This hotel is about 15 min away from venice by bus. The bus station is about 5 min walk from the hotel. Although they have a shuttle to pick passengers from the cruise terminal it does not appear to be very organized. When we called them from the port for our pick up we were told either to get a cab or wait for 2 hours. In addition to the price we paid through expedia the hotel charged us another 5-6 euros for some kind of tax. There are no eating places close to the hotel. It would be nice if the hotel can make some kind of print out for their costumers to know how to get to bus station and come back. It is close to the airport but if you have a flight very early in am, dont trust the hotel shuttle as it starts running from 5 am only. By the way, the WIFI did not work for several hours in morning and later sometimes it would work and sometimes it would not.

Great ValuePosted 25-Jun-2014
Cons: The shower drainage situation. It is a walk-in shower with no threshold and utilizes a shower curtain. Water runs into the bathroom.
We stayed at this hotel the night before our flight back to the US. I highly recommend it for individuals who can not spend a small fortune to stay in Venice or if you just need the convenience of being near the airport. The hotel is a short, 3 minute walk from where you can get on a bus to Venice. There is only one other stop before arriving in Venice, the ride is no more than 15 minutes. You can buy one way tickets, 12 hr, 24 hr, 48 hr....etc with the price getting better the more you buy. The hotel is comfortable and decorated in a modern way...much like Aloft hotels. No frills, just comfortable, clean and intelligent design.

Modern and comfortablePosted 15-Jun-2014
The hotel looked old from outside, but we were pleasantly surprised by the modern and clean interiors. It is located closer to the airport, in very calm pleasant area. Even with lot of luggage we carried, the rooms were very spacious. Couple of suggestions to the hotel management, the bath tub is very high - not easy to get in or out. Also, a shower curtain or door will help in keeping the bathroom dry. We had pizza margarita in the hotel restaurant and we really liked it. If you want to save some $$ recommend to walk couple of blocks to Europe Pizza; very authentic and delicious. I don't recommend going to two restaurants: India Cafe (Italian restaurant run by Asian origin Italians) and the Cubic Cafe, another join run by Asian origin Italians. Also, there are couple of neighborhood store to pick up grocery and fruit. We found the hotel very convenient to go to the Venice by Bus (No.5 and No.19), if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the tourists. Overall we had a pleasant stay. If you can get the rooms on the back of the hotel, you do get a nice view of the Port with Cruise ships and the city of Venice.
