“Provence at it finest”
I found the overall experience of this hotel to be extremely enjoyable, from its uniquely designed rooms, the very pleasant and helpful staff, and to its lovely garden area. You will also find the hotel to be centrally located in the town of Avignon, perfect for touring around to see the sights.
“excellent hotel would go back again.”
excellent! except that dining is extremely expensive at this hotel.
“Great hotel, great location”
La Mirande is a beautiful old hotel right across from the Palais du Papes. It's got a great terrace and amazing restaurant and is walking distance to all the sights in Avignon.
“Avignon's Best”
This is a 700 year old 5-star hotel with a MIchelin 1-star restaurant. Both are fabulous. It doesn't get much better. The hotel is located across the street from the Papal Palace. The garden is exceptional. It is expensive, but worth every penny.
“leading small hotels of the world”
La Mirande surely does give credit to the selection that the Leading Small Hotels of the World has awarded it. Simply enchanting. The only reason I gave "comfort of your room" a 4 is because I found the beds too hard. Other than that it is nigh on impossible to find fault with this spellbound villa / hotel.
