“Excellent base”
We enjoyed staying at the Kyriad TGV because we had a rental car and wanted to explore other nearby towns and historic sites. On our next to last last day we returned the car and took the shuttle to Avignon where we enjoyed the theatre festival. The hotel was quiet and a good place to rest before taking the TGV back to Paris. Although we also stayed in much older, more charming inns, the Kyriad was very modern and comfortable. it was very hot when were in Provence and we were glad to have airconditioning and a very comfortable bed and bath after long days of touring.
“excentré mais beaucoup de commodés pour se rendre en ville rapidement et peu de nuisance”
très satisfaite du choix de l'hôtel, à recommander de toute évidence même si la situation de l'hôtel n'est pas en centre ville, néanmoins proche de la gare tgv et navette de bus très régulière donc pratique...
“convenient to train station”
We loved the charming breakfast area and the convenience to the train station. The front desk staff thankfully spoke english and was very courteous and helpful.
“Unexpected stay”
Nice hotel is good location close to TGV station. Reasonable value for money. Quick, cheap bus ride in an out of Avignon. Reasonable restaurant but nothing else available in the area. Nice touches, such as free computer/internet and ice machine. Hotel staff helpful and friendly.
“Great location, great facility, can't wait to go back!”
The Kyriad Avignon Courtine Gare TGV is a western-style hotel with spacious rooms and modern, spacious bathrooms. In addition to a vending machine for snacks, this hotel also offers cafe-style food that can be ordered at the bar so guests don't have to drive to an off-site location for meals. They even offer a free ice machine, something I've never seen in any other European hotel where we've stayed! The rooms are very spacious, especially by European standards, with a desk and two extra chairs. The Avignon Gare TGV is only a short walk away. Even with two rolling bags and two backpacks, we didn't have any difficulty navigating to the train station and walked there in around 15 minutes. The hotel was very clean and has a large elevator. (Again, something you don't often see in Europe!) The staff was very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We would like to return to this area again and would enthusiastically return to this hotel!
“Review”
The hotel is very modern and nice. The hotel is located close to the TGV which is 5 km outside of the city but there is a bus stop very close to the hotel.
“Great location and friendly service.”
This hotel is in walking distance from the Avignon TGV station, and it has a very good restaurant, which makes it convenient for a one-night stay. Receptionists are eager to please, and will even print your boarding pass if you are on your way to the Paris airport.
“Ideal for visiting Avignon & surrounding area”
Excellent hotel, on a very regular bus route from Avignon 'POSTE' bus station to TGV rail station (approx 8 mins travel & VERY cheap ) stop Bonne Fleur is 50m away so no need for car or taxis. Nice, modern air conditioned rooms and pretty quiet. Ideal for visiting Avignon or using as base for travelling around. Breakfast is much cheaper and more variety available in Avignon on main street from bus station etc. Car hire at TGV station is expensive - book on internet and then pick-up as it is a LOT cheaper. Nothing in surrounding area like restaurants etc. but bus is so regular (15-20mins and cheap) that it is better to go into Avignon for food and any entertainment anyway.
“"Convenience and Comfort"”
We stayed at the Kyriad Hotel on July 23rd & 24th, and thorouhly enjoyed it! When we arrived, we actually didn't realize our train stopped at Avignon Centre, so we had to get a shuttle "navette" which is right accross the street from the station at La Poste. Take the TGV Gare navette to the Bonfleur stop which is just passed the Kyriad approximately 100 yds away. The hotel staff is very helpful and courteous. There is a small bar and you can order snacks until around 10 PM. The room was great; a good size and very clean with all the amenities you need. Don't pass up the breakfast -- it was one of the best continental breakfast we had in France. There was croissants, pan chocolat, french bread with preserves, jam, ham, cheese, yogurt, an assortment of fruit, juices, a variety of coffee choices. The hotel is very close to the TGV Gare station. We actually walked to the station which only took about 5 min. The only drawn back is that it is not in the center of town, but with the navette price of 1 Euro, it's well worth it. The hotel is quiet and secure; we would definitely return!
“Good Hotel”
The hotel was alright. A little far from Avignon but very accessible by bus. It was a nice and clean hotel. Continental breakfast was good and a good variety of food. Our room wasn't ready went we got there. They said check-in was at 3pm so I guess we couldn't have the room before then. They kept our suitcases in a room so we could go and visit while waiting for our room. The hotel is just a short walk to the TGV station but far from other conveniences .Overall it was a good stay at this hotel and would recomment it.
