Arriving at the hotel was a bit difficult, but I'm sure that is the case for most hotels in Avignon, a walled, pedestrian city. Parking is far from the hotel, and you will need to navigate through the cobblestone streets with your luggage, so it's best to travel light. Be sure to read the email on how to access the hotel well before you arrive to avoid confusion. Unbeknownst to me, I booked the hotel during The Festival d'Avignon, so I feel we overpaid for our stay. We had the top room, which was massive and clean, but not entirely comfortable. The mattress was a bit lumpy and I would have preferred more than one pillow. The entry to the bathroom features a very dramatic step-down, so we slept with the bathroom light on so we wouldn't forget and fall in the middle of the night. The host was very kind and welcoming but make sure and follow his directions closely. I did like that the hotel was close to all the action, but a bit quieter than other hotels on the main thoroughfare.
