"Wonderful Warm Property and Warm Welcome"
The rustic, but clean and cheerful decor is very soothing and a nice change from the more contemporary "plastic" hotels. It was very quiet on our floor. Hudson Hour impressed us with the food selection and prices. Our dinner by the fire on Saturday night was really nice and a good value for the delicious food that was served. The staff was infallibly friendly and all of them seemed to like their jobs which means a lot. The only thing we found disappointing was our bed. We do not like the foam mattresses and the room was too warm at night even though we turned the heat down. The foam just holds the heat in. Other than that, we loved "hanging out" in the room. The sofa was very comfortable and it was nice to have such a big desk. We felt especially well-taken care of with personal attention. We will stay there again.

"Its cool and its affordable"
Spent the weekend out there. Reasonable cheap and the hotel room was nice. The door I had a little trouble opening a few times but everything else was overall nice.

Pocket Guide: Vancouver, WA, Portland Family Hotels

While Washington may claim Vancouver as its own, it takes just 20 minutes to drive between the city and Portland’s downtown. Public artworks, including the Salmon Run Bell Tower and Glockenspiel, reference the city’s centuries-old past. Elsewhere, visitors to the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site discover a 19th-century reconstructed fort, replete with furnishings and staff in period dress.
