“The Place to Stay In Vancouver”

This hotel provided quality service in a classy setting without intrusions. The Fairmont is a restful haven with luxurious amenities to pamper any traveller. The staff was the personification of professionalism and efficiency.

“We will be back”

Excellent location, quality suites & facilities, excellent service. For a few days stay, being within the Airport Terminal lets you walk your luggage directly from the Carousel to the Elevator, check you airline tickets in the Hotel foyer. Shopping/dining can be in the Hotel, the Terminal or in Town, just a short run in on the Skytrain (buy an all-day pass at the "711" Convenience at Ground Level of Domestic Terminal). Booking Hotel thru an Agent generally halves the room rate. This was our 4th stay, this time we brought friends for their first stay, and we all plan to return again.

Area recommendations
Capilano Skywalk, Grouse Mountain, Granville Island, Robson Street, and anywhere around the Harbour. But allow a day at each site to really enjoy. Overall Vancouver is a relatively small City, easy to get around and with multiple attractions for all tastes. We expect to return many more times.

“Great place to watch airport bustle!”

Great views of YVR runways on both sides of the hotel. Viewing scope in room! Sound-proof glass works well. Had delicious meal in the restaurant & SURPRISE! - special care taken of us as we celebrated our wedding anniversary (complimentary fruit/chocolate tray). Friendly advice/tasting re wine choice, without superiority from wait staff. Bed - comfortable, bathroom - roomy. Being actually in/attached to the airport is super for access to everything there.

Area recommendations
We took the Canada Line to downtown Vancouver & enjoyed a great walk around. It took 25 minutes there & back & cost us $ 20.00. Had plenty of time to do that & get back for our noon check-out.

“EXCELLENT HOTEL, GREAT LOCATION IF NEEDED TO BE CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT”

ROOM WAS AMAZING, EVERYTHING WAS REALLY CLEAN, BED WAS EXQUISITE! NICE PERSONNEL!

“Aesome convenience”

Ideal place - my sister was passing through from Australia - just a couple of hours, and was great to be able to relax so close - her husband, the plane nut, loved the telescope! Excellent roon service and food. Staff couldn't have been more helpful through my stay.

“Unbelieveable service !”

From the moment we stopped at the curb we received top quality attention. I was travelling with my mother who required some extra assistance following surgery and the hotel staff went out of their way to provide - far beyond expectations. I also experienced, truly, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! I'm already trying to figure out how I can stay there again!

“Very impressive airport hotel.”

Was pleasantly surprised, the Fairmont name stood up to it's reputation, good service, friendly staff, nice well appointed rooms.

Area recommendations
Burrard Street, the other Fairmont or Four Seasons would be good. There are some pretty run down areas in Vancouver which I would steer clear of.
Getting around
f you need to be up for an early flight, the airport location is perfect, it is literally right in the international terminal. The Canada Line train is a 5 minute walk and takes about 25 minutes to get to downtown. Remember if you are travelling a few times in a day or even just a round trip, you would be better served if you bought a day pass which is only available inside the Domestic Terminal at Seven-Eleven in the basement.....go figure, can't get it on the platform.

“Best Hotel near Vancouver Airport”

We stayed at the Fairmont Richmond Airport on our wedding night and day after. We had to check in late after all the wedding festivities and we were warmly received. The room even had a little welcome note from the Manager congratulating us on our wedding, and complimentary chocolate covered strawberries were also provided. This was an unexpected surprise, we loved it! We also ordered room service the next day for breakfast, the food was excellent and well presented! Thank you Fairmont for making our busy wedding day a relaxing experience at the end of the night!
