“Fairmont Vancouver Airport”
Great hotel, ideal for a quick one-day business meeting. Rooms a bit on the pricey side, but when you don't have to rent a car, commute into town and back, etc, it's not that bad a deal. First rate room and service, would stay there again without hesitation
“Airport Hotel”
This is a very nice Hotel that is right in the Airport. You wake up in the morning and go downstairs and you are in the terminal. I will use this hotel in the future.
“Better than average airport hotel”
I've stayed at this hotel several times mainly for business. Great meeting rooms, great food, great service and comfortable guest rooms. What more can you ask for. It adjoins the airport so you don't have to leave the building - go downstairs and you're in the terminal. The rooms are so well insulated that you don't hear any noise from the airport. Book through expedia and you get a decent rate - - don't book through the hotel unless money is no object.
“Awesome Hotel!”
This hotel has a lot going for it...comfy beds, great staff, workout area and you can't beat the location when you need to make an early morning connecting flight. Our room even came equipped with a spotting scope so we could get great views of the ocean and watch the planes take off. I'll defintely stay here again!
“Great hotel and location for international flight back to US”
Everything was perfect staff; room, restaurant
“Great place to watch airport bustle!”
Great views of YVR runways on both sides of the hotel. Viewing scope in room! Sound-proof glass works well. Had delicious meal in the restaurant & SURPRISE! - special care taken of us as we celebrated our wedding anniversary (complimentary fruit/chocolate tray). Friendly advice/tasting re wine choice, without superiority from wait staff. Bed - comfortable, bathroom - roomy. Being actually in/attached to the airport is super for access to everything there.
“Quiet, comfortable, hospitable. What more could you want?”
I keep coming back to the Fairmont Vancouver Airport. It is in the airport so it is easy to get to and from. It has a great restaurant. The staff is friendly & personable. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Ground transportation and parking are readily available. (Note: Vancouver traffic can be slow and frustrating during peak hours.) Did I say quiet? People I travel with are amazed at how quiet this hotel is. After 6:00 PM, the air traffic slows to almost nothing. Even when a plane goes by, it is over the runway and not the hotel. The hotel was built custom to deflect aircraft noise but it also effectively blocks noise from other rooms and from the hallway. I am sensitive to noise and I feel this is one of the quietest hotels I have stayed in during my many travels.
“Convenience worth the expense”
The location of this hotel--right in the airport-- is extremely convenient to any traveler with a demanding itinerary. To me, it was worth the high price to be able to get a comfortable night between long flights and to be able to simply walk to my gate the next morning.
“Love it but...”
Everything was great, but for one small incident. We went down to the fitness room to get some workout in. We were surprised that they ran out of towels for the guests to use. Also surprised is that they provided small wash towels (which came later) not the larger hand towels that we are used to. But we were happy that bottled water was provided in the fitness room. Parking is also an issue unless you don't mind paying for valet parking or the less convenient airport parking. Hotel room was very nice and clean and quite roomy. Although we are right there at the airport, it was very quiet in the room.
“awesome hotel”
the convience of staying right next to the airport was a plus. the huge bathtub and shower rocked! after a long day of sightseeing and on my feet, it was nice to relax in the tub. the staff was wonderful and helpful. they'll even call to make tour bus reserv for you. didn't even need to rent a car. just call land and sea for great sightseeing tours. the only neg was the airport food. don't eat there. recom eat the hotel food even tho expensive or eat a big lunch b4 you come back to your hotel.
