Okay hotel close to downtown

Posted 20-Feb-2015
Pros: Proximity to a lot of amenities
Cons: Update certain rooms, better room maintenance and reporting of deficiencies from room service staff. IE wall paper peeling off bathroom wall.
Location: Lots of retail close by, live theatre, the hockey stadium is very close by and easy access to the sky train.
Have stayed here before however was disappointed this time around. Room was just ok, wallpaper was coming off the wall in the washroom and the entrance door did not fully shut and was accidentally left open most of the day after room service cleaned the room. My sense was I was getting a lower grade room because of booking through Expedia. I would recommend to a friend on the caveat of checking out the quality of the room before signing in.

good value and great location for what we needed!

Posted 3-Feb-2015
Pros: Location was great. Staff was friendly; we do have nothing negative to say.
Cons: Lighting was a big dark on certain areas; bathroom could use more and some public areas are a big dark.
Location: Good restaurants, sporting events, conventions, cultural events, etc
See below. Experience was pleasant. We will return.

Excellent location and affordable prices

Posted 2-Feb-2015
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Washroom was stuffy and small
Location: Walking distance to Cinaplex theatre. Very good restaurants close by,Moxies right in the building waterfront and sea bus, trains, bus, walking distance
The bathroom was very small but very good shower and water. We loved the view as we were in the tower. The beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.Central location was awesome for what we wanted to do and see. Short walk to bus or train as we had no vehicle. We got a price that fit our budget for 3 night stay. Definitely would use again.

Noisy Ice machine

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Pros: location
We were unable to have side by side rooms for our large family, the ice machine and its visitors were a problem until 3:30 am, keys stopped working twice, pool change rooms not cleaned on a busy weekend.

OK hotel close to Rogers Arena and BC Place

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Cons: Up the cleaning standards
Location: Near Rogers Arena, BC Place for sports events, concerts, etc
The check in process was slow. The floor space under the head of the bed was unclean, empty water bottle and other litter, dusty. The bed itself was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Handy to Moxies in the same building.

Value hotel has lost its appeal

Posted 20-Jan-2015
Pros: Location. Close to Stadiums and SkyTrain.
Cons: Fire front desk manager (Andrew Craig) and find someone who believes in customer service.
Location: Yaletown is very close and has ample restaurants and fun bars.
We used to really enjoy this hotel but management has really let this property go downhill. From getting attitude from the shift manager for asking for courtesy toothpaste, to twice-broken hairdryers to broken furniture, to failing to deal with loud guests at 3am, it just seems that management doesn't care any more.
