Very clean, quiet, comfortable, well-appointed unit. Beautiful patio with little table to have coffee. Great shower. Shawn, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Cafe, bakery and grocery store a block away, as well as a public bus to downtown. Highly recommended!

Visited my daughter at UBC for a week. The place is perfectly suited for one or two people and ideally located to visit UBC and explore Vancouver! Cozy place, well stocked with everything you need. Cooked for my daughter on the last night there. Shawn was a great host and his black cat made my day! Great bread shop, specialty grocery and cafe very nearby. They open later in the morning so adjust your schedule as required. Overall, I’ll be coming back!

Exactly what we needed after travelling for 3 weeks to recharge and have a comfy stay with all the amenities in this beautifully appointed accomodation. It has such a nice feel. Beautiful area, easy access to public transport. A little tight for 3 of us with a tween but we are travelling for a number of weeks so have too much luggage. Otherwise perfect.

As always it was wonderful staying at this property! Shawn and Chrystal are wonderful hosts. Very friendly and helpful. The unit is wonderful! Great location. Walkable to 41st and to a bakery , grocery store across the street and a cute coffee shop around the corner. Very central. Free parking , which is rare in Vancouver. The unit has everything you might need including a full kitchen to cook meals and washer and dryer. You can have a long term stay and have everything you need. New and clean . We always stay here when in Vancouver and it really feels like a home away from home.Nice clean bathroom. We would not stay anywhere else when in Vancouver! Thank you Chrystal and Shawn for being such great hosts and thank you for the chocolates you left for us. That is really going above and beyond! See you next time.

Clean suite, everything you need is available, hosts are very responsive to issues/questions. It could use a little soundproofing above the bedroom (can hear hosts walking around upstairs in what is likely their kitchen) but if you are a sound sleeper, you shouldn't have a problem. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful week in Vancouver while staying at Shawn and Chrystal's basement suite. The location is really beautiful and was great for walks in the neighbourhood, with a nearby park and field. It's just around the corner from a small grocery store, coffee shop and bakery which was super convenient, and it's a very short drive to Kitsilano and all the shops located there. The size of the unit was perfect for us as a family of 3, our 2 year old slept confortably on the futon. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. I highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when we visit friends in Vancouver.

My husband and I spent 6 nights in Shawn’s one bedroom basement apartment. It had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable and spacious. There are a couple of bakeries and a grocery store within a minute’s walk. It’s in a beautiful, safe neighborhood and so close to many tourist attractions. Pride of ownership is evident here and Shawn and Crystal are always within reach for any help along with great advice. The is is a great neighbourhood, with a coffee and bake shop, as well as a bakery and sandwich shop and a butcher, all within a block and easy access to major cross town travel routes, UBC and other amenities. We hope to return soon to this spotless, cozy location.

I stayed here with my husband and 4 year old for 2 weeks. The accommodation is lovely; it's comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Shawn was a great host, always happy to provide anything we needed and answer questions. The location is nice and quiet, a few minutes walk to a nice bakery, a cafe and a lovely grocery store. Also, only a 10 minute drive up to Kitsilano for shops and restaurants on W 4th and the beach. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. If we return to Vancouver, we would certainly want to stay here again!

The suite is exactly as pictured and described. Spotless and well equipped. Shawn is definitely a "super host". He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. A Week's Stay
My partner (age 83) and myself (age 73) chose this suite in particular because of ease from/to airport; and the safe/peaceful neighbourhood. We rented a vehicle & had no issues with parking on the street. Everything met our expectations except the lack of comfort on the pull-out couch. If you use the bed only for sleeping, you will dream like a baby as it is super comfortable. We took turns on the couch to make it more bearable (especially for folks of our age). Check in & out was easy. Thank you Shawn for your kindness.

Fantastic little hideaway

My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home and we have to say, it exceeded all of our expectations. Shawn has set up their basement space so that from the moment you walk in, you can’t help but be blown away by the stunning decor, numerous amenities, and incredible attention to detail. The home was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with every amenity and convenience you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with high-end appliances, cookware, and utensils, making it a joy to cook meals and dine in. The bedrooms were comfortable and inviting, with plush bedding and plenty of closet space. One of the highlights of this vacation home was the outdoor patio. In all we were very impressed with how well kept the home was. The location of the home was also ideal, with easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and attractions including UBC, Grenville and others. Shawn was also very helpful with numerous tips and potential activities to explore during our stay. Whether you want to explore the local area or simply relax and unwind, this vacation home has it all.

Eine schöne Wohnung zum erholen
Die Wohnung entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Sowohl was die Ausstattung angeht als auch die Lage. Man kann sich dort nur sehr wohlfühlen und zur Ruhe kommen. Die Gegend ist sicher und ruhig. Man hat in der Wohnung alles was man benötigt. Und einkaufen kann man überall in der Umgebung. Der Bus fährt direkt ums Eck und war für mich mehr als ausreichend. Eine traumhafte Stadt ist Vancouver. Mit einer Wohnung und einem Besitzer( Shawn) den ich nur weiter empfehlen kann. Und wo ich definitiv jederzeit wieder hingehen würde.
