“Always a pleasant stay.”

I've stayed at the Coast many times and have always enjoyed staying there. It is not pretentious and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for walks on the beach, Stanley Park, and the many restaurants on Denman. The hotel is starting to show its age but is clean and well kept. Many of the rooms have spectacular views of English Bay - Symphony of Fire fans, take note. Ice machines are somewhat hidden on various floors.

“Can't wait to go back.”

The location of the hotel was perfect. I was very satisfied with the service I received. The room's decor was a bit outdated but still very comfotable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Great location, rooms need updating.”

This hotel is in a perfect location providing the best that Vancouver has to offer. Service is excellent and friendly. The rooms/suites are very large and comfortable. However, they need to be updated.

“Excellent Service”

Service was suberb and room was clean. Location was great, too -- close to beach, downtown, and Stanley Park and all of its attractions. I will stay here again.

“Very impressed”

This hotel may be abit of a throwback to the late 70's early 80's but don't let that deter you one bit! The rooms are large well decorated although the kitchen needs obvious updating. Everything else was above standard. I enjoy the city view as one gets glorious sunshine but the balcony I had was set back in and not good for laying in the sun. Who cares the beach is close by! Also the mall downstairs is wonderful as there's a large grocery store there for all ones needs. It's the staff that makes this place!! Even John the doorman remembered me from 2 years previous the minute I got out of the taxi! What a GREAT man he is. Will do anything for you. Will definately stay again.

“Great Experience!”

We stayed in the one bedroom suite for one week during our stay in Vancouver. The building is old, but so are most of the hotels (in reasonable price ranges) there. The cleaning staff did an excellent job every day. Since there was a full kitchen, there was access to dishes, utensils, pots/pans, etc. and the cleaning staff always made sure to wash what you left behind! I do have ONE PROBLEM, we ordered a movie while we were there and when I got back to Toronto (I didn't have time to review the bill when we were there as we were late for our flight) I noticed they charged us 3 times for a movie. I emailed them this morning (2 days after we got back) and have yet to receive a response. I hope to hear from them soon! Also, they charge $17/night for parking. So if you can, find somewhere else nearby to park!! But they do have night security in the parking lot which is a comfort.

“Great location, great view”

-great location!!! -everything you need within walking distance. -grocery store downstairs, made our own dinner in the room when the kids were too tired to go out. -walked to English Bay, had Tim Hortons on the beach for breakfast -older hotel, showing a bit of its age, but other than some sticky fingerprints on the window from the previous guests, the room was clean and comfortable. -lots of space in the rooms for kids to play (8&10yrs) -we faced northwest, the view was awesome. -parking was a little steep ($25/day), but was secure. -would definately stay there again.

“A nice place, one of Vancouver's best views”

We had a kitchenette, and a balcony, for a VERY reasonable price considering the hotel is only a 1.5 blocks from beach avenue, and only a short walk to Granville Island, Robson Street, & Gastown. Most other amenities were only a short drive (or cab) away. We had a great view of English Bay. We'd certainly stay again!
