“Little Gem.”

We stayed in the Premier Mountain Lodge for 3 nights, we were just passing through on the Greyhound bus. The lodge was clean, warm (it was snowing outside), the beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodge was being renovated when we stayed (out of season) but the y put as along way away so as not to be disturbed. The Sarak restaurant next to the lodge does extremely good food at a reasonable, good special deals and really enjoyable meals. Valemount is a cute small town with a few gems for coffee shops and eating places. Valemount town is a 10 minute walk from the Lodge and main road (but worth it).

“Will probably stay there again.”

The good : The hotel offers basic accomodation at a price that is competitive or better for the small town of Valemount.. The rooms have microwaves and small fridges, as well as coffee makers, Wireless internet is included and works. Beds seem to be comfortable, TV is par for the location (town cable system). Plumbing seems to work. The not so good: Valemount is a mountain town and is cold in winter. Rooms not occupied are kept cool and can take a long time to warm up after you check in, particularly the ones that open directly onto the parking lot. Some rooms seem to have extra plug-in heaters, but not all. Bedding is not suitable for a cool room. Car plug-ins may exist but are not obvious.

“OK but not overwhelmed.”

The hotel was a little shabby, however it was clean and comfortable. The parking lot was very icey. Needed sanding in the parking area.

“Not up to date at all”

I feel you are really paying highly for the highway location of this motel. It is very old and outdated, dark, dingy. Restaurant on premises is expensive, slow and food of poor value. Would only recommend hotel if desperate. High priced for what you get.

“Room”

Carpets were dirty. Heat control was non existent. On...over 30 degrees. Had to turn it off to get relief. Ice at entrance to sidewalk. Dangerous!

“So bad!”

The road and gas station are located at the neibor of this hotel. It was noisy midnight and early morning. The regulation of shower was not good. The frontdesk was closed when we were leaving on check-out.
