Formerly part of the Roman settlement Lugdunum, Vaise runs along the Saône's western bank just north of the A6 highway. Residences and commercial space mix around the Vaise train station. Underneath the station, the D Line can take visitors directly into Vieux Lyon to explore Lyon's past. Shops and restaurants can be found along the neighborhood's Rue de Bourgogne.
