Location: Plenty of shops and resturants near by. Beautiful walking trails along the river. Beautiful festival and market.
Although the hotel was clean and rooms very clean, we originally purchased a king room. When we arrived to the hotel they sent us a double. We are NOT happy campers about this. Talk to the front desk, and they told us this was all they had. This is NOT what I booked. Probaly last time here...

Exceptional Location and ConveniencePosted 8-Sep-2014
Gourmet on the Gore is the reason we visited Vail from Highlands Ranch. The Sitzmark's location is without a doubt the best you can do for this event. Walk out the door and literally you are in the folds of wonderful food, drink and music. A wonderful hotel that we will be booking again next year!

Keep lookingPosted 13-Aug-2014
We've stayed at several hotels in Vail. This was by far the worst. Breakfast was terrible, room was small and not updated at all. No AC for hot summer days. Great location but several better options for the same price in town. Keep looking!

Nice old hotel in the middle of everythingPosted 3-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, comfortable
Cons: Facility is a bit old.
Excellent location in the middle of a beautiful little town. Walking to all nice restaurants and shopping, etc. our room was nice and comfortable, close to swimming pool. Overall very good experience.

Middle of townPosted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: The location is perfect for me.
Cons: Parking, but that's part of being in Vail
Location: See above
If I were a skier, I'm sure I would love Sitzmark for its proximity to the slopes. As it is, I go to Vail in the summer, and the hotel is an easy walk to great restaurants, shopping, and the Ford Amphitheater for the Bravo festival. It's an easy drive to some great fly fishing and golf, too.

Great location with Alpine CharmPosted 15-May-2014 on Hotels.com
An ACL surgery for our son brought us to Vail. The Sitzmark Lodge was a great place for an extended stay. Perfect size, nice amenities, nice staff all in the heart of Vail Village! Great access to shopping and restaurants with the Gore Creek steps away. Great value. We'll be back!

One Night Stay Driving Cross CountryPosted 28-Apr-2014
Check in and check out were simple and fast, providing a small town, old world feeling. The front desk recommended a good sports bar nearby for a quick dinner and the end of our NBA team's playoff game. Free parking under the hotel was convenient. The location of the hotel captured Vail's charm as a European style ski resort. This was overall a good experience.

Great Affordable Stay!Posted 10-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
My husband and I booked one night at the Sitzmark during a whirlwind tour of Colorado. We could not have been more pleased with the hotel. The location was fantastic - right in the heart of Vail Village. This hotel also had free onsite parking and a great warm continental breakfast. Our room was slightly dated, but the comfortable bed, large bathroom, and awesome balcony view made up for that completely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay again!
