was pleased as a budget hotel I had low expectations however after getting in my room I was more than pleased

“A closing bathroom door would be a nice touch.”

We wanted a low cost place to crash, and that's exactly what we got. The bathroom door didn't even close, there weren't enough electrical outlets without unplugging lamps, and the room service that promised reusing towels if you hung them didn't. Breakfast was spartan. But it was reasonably cheap---until we went across the street and improved in all categories for $15 less.

It's an O.K hotel for that prize. Nothing super about it. You can't expect more for that prize.

“Not so Super 8, Utica”

The hotel was a disappointment. I arranged my travel last minute, and this was supposed to be the top of the list in Utica. The room was much less than I expected, and for the price, was much less than what I paid for. The wireless internet is a joke. All rooms hit the same wireless access point in the office. As soon as more than one person got on the network, it slowed down to nothing. Being there on business I lost several hours of productivity because I couldn't get a signal. When I notified the front desk they simply said, "yes, that happens when there are more than one person on it".

This motel is overpriced for the service that they offer. The room was clean. They advertise "continental breakfast", but we decided not to try due to the lack of cleanliness. You can stop here for a night and then forget about it.

Spent 10 hours there, and that was too much time. Run down motel. Waste of money.

“Stay away from this motel”

We were confirmed for a non-smoking room - when we arrived we were assigned a room that reeked of cigarette smoke - we were told it was the only room available, despite the confirmation from Expedia for a non-smoking room. The room was filthy, the mattress was bowed in the middle - the room was at the end of a hallway, with a hallway door that was wide open (so much for security). The motel is on the side of the Thruway, and there is a brackish stream running just outside the motel. The whole motel seemed dirty and not well maintained. The room was so awful, we didn't use it, and luckily got a room at another hotel - we have requested a refund from Expedia.
