“Wonderful view and location”
We had a view of the cathedral from our room, and a balcony over the river that runs under the hotel. The hotel is a short walk from the main square, and in a quiet spot right on top of the river.
“Good hotel in an excellent location in Regensburg”
This was my 2nd stay at this hotel, each time was for a Fri - Sun weekend. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Not much to do in the hotel, but what do you need with Regensburg so close. Small bar downstairs. Good breakfast. Steep parking fee, which I guess is expected in this city. Fairly modern with in-room internet access. Rooms are sparcely decorated, but good sized and comfortable. Outside noise in some rooms is a bit of an issue. Staff is more professional than friendly, but were able to answer any questions that I had. The biggest selling point is the location. Park your car for the weekend and walk to all the sites of Regensburg. Located on an island right across the Danube from the Old City. A 5 minute walk across the Stone Bridge and you are in the Old City. Walking the other way on the bridge and your in biergarten heaven!!
“Great hotel, great position, great staff”
Can't really fault this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother. It's in a great position on an island in the Danube right next to the Stone Bridge and five minutes walk to the Spital Beer Garden. Our rooms overlooked the river and the old town which is also a short walk away. Breakfast was very nice and reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
“Great location”
Sorat-Insel Hotel in Regensburg is a nice, small, unique hotel. It had very good service and a great bar. It is located on an island in the Danube River and was a quaint and romantic place to stay. There was an excellent buffet breakfast for 7 Euro per person. Hotel parking was 11 Euro per day. The hotel was a little older and the spa facilities were a little "hyped" on the Expedia description, but I had a very enjoyable stay there and would stay there again.
“Great Location/Class Place”
Just a few feet from the stone bridge and just a couple minutes walk from all the sights and shopping.
“Last minute Stay with an Upgrade”
The hotel was perfectly located right on the DANUBE. The room had an amazing river view and was supposedly not offered on Expedia but was provided to us at the single twin price. The bar was small, but quaint and stylish. Parking is available and its only about 150meters from the Stadtmitte. Bathroom could have had a shower, but otherwise no complaints. Oh and the breakfast was amazing. Certainly a deal.
“A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting.”
We enjoyed the service and the breakfast buffet, which was included in the price, was outstanding. We would go back anytime.

Hôtel très bien situé, au pied de la vieille ville, le personnel est très professionnel, les chambres très spacieuses et d'une propreté irréprochable. Le petit déjeuner est également excellent. Bref, je suis conquis...
“Pleasant Alternative”
... to staying in the historic old town of Regensburg, but just a short walk across the old stone bridge. Beautifully maintained modern hotel in an old site. With parking garage in hotel, made for a good base for trips outside of town. Excellent free breakfast. Only one complaint -- very poor lighting for reading in bed or at desk.
“Very nice spot along the Danau”
The service in the Hotel was very good. Almost all of the front desk people spoke very good English and helped me with my so-so German. I had need of a pharmacy and they knew exactly who to contact. Breakfast every day was exceptional; I only ate dinner one night in the hotel and I thought the cost a bit high for the meal.
