I tried to cancel my reservation 5 days prior & found out I could not. Even for an emergency. Expedia would have ok’d the cancellation, but the hotel would not. Apparently they have a 2 wk cancellation policy. Yes, my mistake for not knowing this. Regardless, have never heard of a 2 wk cancellation policy. 24-48 hrs is typical & makes much more sense. The property manager would only email & wasn’t very pleasant, at all. The hotel is very dated. It was clean enough. The breakfast is nothing to write home about. Our faucet in the bathroom leaked & was loud so we needed to make sure the bathroom door was closed so it didn’t keep us up. Throw in they raked us over the coals. Expedia doesn’t allow me to say the rate, which is so odd. It was Alabama Homecoming. We were also told they don’t service the room if staying 2 days. For that kind of money & the few issues….. we won’t ever be back. The biggest take away - know they have a ridiculous cancellation policy. Stay somewhere else in case something comes up!
