This is okay as an inexpensive stay, but the place needs a bit of maintenance. My room had a few bruises as if some 'Bama boys stayed here and messed the place up.

My room smelt like marijuana, the smoke detector had been pulled from the wall, the bathtub had two cracks in the bottom and was extremely spongey, the shower head, the shower hand valve and tub spout was not properly secured. The sheets looked dingy and the swinging door latch lock was missing from the door

No comforter on the bed. Furniture was old and stained. Toilet leaked water into floor. TV was black and white. Door barely shut and locked. Needs updating.

It is an older hotel so we didn’t expect new. It had everything we needed and friendly staff from the top to the bottom!!! We were very happy with our stay and will stay there again.

Watch you deposit closely, had to call back to get it removed after being told at checkout it was going away, it actually posted. Stayed a month ago in the front side of the front building and the room was nice, stayed in the back of the front building and it was trash. Even a decorative unplugged house phone.

Tuscaloosa stop over
The room seemed as if it had been updated recently with new bed linens and flooring but the mattress was really really firm. Most of the things were in order except for a broken curtain that let light in throughout the night, and the extra door lock was broken.

The room had not been cleaned. Linen on the bed had not been changed. (there was blood on the sheets) Lucky I brought my own sheets. Food left in the refrigerator, microwave not cleaned, Killed several cockroaches. All in all it was a horrible room......Will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at this property on game day and paid over $300 per night, this property is $40 a night place that is close to campus. It is clean but old and beaten, good hot water.

The staff were helpful but won’t really put much of an effort in for anything. Also the room was incredibly unclean including having unwashed towels with stains on them. The bed also did not look clean and the foldout bed had trash in it.

Absolutely repulsive. We paid $950 for two nights to get this. Quite frankly, we deserve a refund. I don’t even think this room is compliant with local laws (our smoke detector was ripped out of the wall). Non-smoking meant nothing. It reeked of cigarettes and the evidence was literally on the door. A cigarette was lodged in the frame. I’ve stayed here for years to cheer on Bama and this was by far our worst experience ever at any motel/hotel. We will need to find somewhere else to stay for our next gameday. Avoid this place like the plague… you might just catch it.

Seriously outdated hotel. Although that could be fixed with some cleanliness, clean towels, and clean floors. For the amount being paid per night on game weekends, there could surely be some renovations done to spruce it up. However, it was a close and convenient location to the stadium and campus.

You get what you pay for…
The staff was absolutely wonderful. I asked for a light to be put in the room as the lights were burnt out above the sink. They came and changed it. The room was clean. The shower curtain didn’t stay closed and both sides sink to the center. The room was okay to sleep in with large safety concerns. It was a Game-day weekend so they were sold out and a room change or hotel change was not happening. For the grand I paid for 2 days, less than stellar with the taped over bullet hole in my window and a chair put in front of the adjoining door that didn’t lock on my side.

First room the bathroom sink didn’t work, the second room the A/C didn’t work and the third room had no soap, shower rod was broken and the A/C quit in the middle of the night. No HD tv, half the channels didn’t work, there was a cigarette butt on the floor by the bed…..they need to completely remodel the whole place…..for almost $300.00 a night on game day I expected better than that….

Hotel is outdated and everything is a little beat up. Bathroom was old and gross. Drain in the tub was super slow! You could hear everything from the road. It isn’t very sound proof! We were there for a game weekend. I would drive to Birmingham and Stu at a nicer hotel for a much cheaper price!
