“Veranda Resort Grace Bay Providentiales (Turks & Caicos)”
“No creepy crawlies!”
Resort is brand new. Greeted with rum punch and a tour of the resort. Friendly staff. Resort is beautifully landscaped. Room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Bed was extremely comfortable with duvet comforter and wonderful sheets. Excellent maid service. Not one mosquito bite the whole week. Saw no bugs at all at the resort. Wonderful breezes. Restaurant had the perfect setting for watching the sunset as you sip your glass of wine. The pool near the bar is on the small side. Although umbrellas are set up for all of the lounge chairs - no shade so bring plenty of sunscreen. The adult only pool is very nice with lots of shade. Overall, very relaxing stay at the Veranda. Would definitely return.
“Va tech Hokie family”
It was all good. Highly recommend . Food, service, room, staff all 10/10. Best beach we have ever been to. And we have travelled all over.
“Best Honeymoon”
Our honeymoon was beyond our expectation because of the staff, hotel, food and drinks. I've been doing research on which hotel to go to for our honeymoon for 8 months. We really wanted to go theT&C, but we wanted to go to an all inclusive hotel, that had a luxorious feel. T&C doesn't have alot of all inclusive hotel, so when the Veranda opened up in February, i was excited. We have heard how expensive everything is on the island and we didn't want to worry about running out of money. The food at the Veranda was amazing, like dinning at a fine restaurant in NYC. The spa had summer specials which we took advantage of and the was a wonderful experience. We had dinner on the beach one night, which was absoutely amazing watching the sunset, so romantic and intimate. Let's get to the good part the drinks were included and Ramone makes the best RUM Punch!! Upon arrival we had a bottle of champange in our room waiting. The conceirge staff exceeded our expectation. You can also borrow movies from the the concierge lobby. My husband forgot his phone charger at home and they had one for him to borrow. I can go on and on, but you must go to see for your self, you will thank me later. We are already looking for flights and prices to go back in August 2011 to celebrate our 1st anniversary.
“Can't wait to book my next trip!”
This hotel really exceeded out expectations!! It's always nerve wracking to book online, or visit new hotels, but this worked out perfectly.... and the pictures don't lie. We were celebrating an anniversary and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make it special...everything from notes in our room to chocolate covered strawberries and truffles the night of our actual anniversary. The bar in the room was stocked and we had a small kitchenette which was great for when we cracked open the bubbly:) The beach is beautiful with crystal clear water and we didn't have to fight for beach chairs or the hammocks. We travelled in September and it was not busy at all- we really got special attention from the staff and were on a 1st name basis with the servers and hotel Management on the 1st day! Like another review stated- the Veranda felt like home. You can rent out bikes from the hotel and ride around town which is a nice excursion- or rent a car and drive around the area to see the sites.the complimentary taxi to and from the airport is another added bonus! Regarding the tipping- it was completely optional- I didn't feel pressure to leave a tip. We've stayed in all inclusives before and I didn't feel like the Veranda staff pushed for a tip or treated you differently if you left a tip/didn't. On our last night we brought cash for our favorite bartender, 'B' and we obviously left tips after our spa treatments. This was an excellent vacation, romantic, relaxing and rejuvenating!
“High End Resort, but Relaxed and Friendly”
My boyfirend and I stayed at the Veranda from Oct 6 to 12, so it was low season. The resort was quiet and that was perfect for us because we had plenty of space at the pool and on the beach and the weather was still great. The staff were friendly and fun. We were treated like VIPs the entire stay. Most of the other guests we met were on their honeymoon. While the resort does welcome kids and does have a kids club, it seemed to be more of a couples type resort; all the kids were staying at Beaches next door. There was only one main restaurant open for dinner but, in addition to the menu, there was a buffet and each night was a different theme. Overall, we thought the food was good, especially the conch fritters and tuna poke, and the asparagus risoto was awesome. We ate off the resort one night at the highly recommended Coco Bistro, which was absolutely spectacular, both in ambiance and food. The resort drove us there and picked us up when we were done. Overall, a wonderful trip; relaxing, great service, good food and drinks flowing all day. We would definately go back.
“Can't Wait to Go Back”
The Veranda was amazing. The people there are so friendly and accommodating. Our room was much bigger than we anticipated and it was immaculate. The Marin Bar and the Bartenders there were welcoming and so fun. Many times we were the only ones at the beach or the adult pool, so it was the perfect place for relaxing and privacy. I would definitely go back.
“The Veranda is amazing”
I highly reccommend the Veranda to anyone traveling to the TC Islads. Everything was amazing. The staff is the friendliest at any place I've ever stayed. When I go back to TCI I will be staying at the Veranda.
“Awesome retreat. Will return.”
I would recommend the Veranda to anyone who wants to get away and relax in a beautiful setting. We were trying to figure out how to get the whole family there for a vacation as it was so beautiful and peaceful. The staff was great and we so appreciated the great service. There is not a lot of night life at the resort, however there is a casino on the island for those looking for more to do at night. This is definitely a 5 star resort.
“Would love to go back!!”
The staff is very courteous and they attend to your every need. Very friendly place. The only and I mean only thing I can suggest is bring some bug spray because in the evening after it rains they come out and can be quite nasty if you are not protected. Just ask and they will even provide you with spray for these little pests.
