“Great hotel in prime location on Grace Bay”
We chose Coral Gardens on Grace Bay for a one week honeymoon. The hotel itself was very quiet with beautiful landscaping. Staff were very friendly. The hotel bar (Somewhere Cafe) was a great place to hang out at night, with many locals present and live music. The beach is pristine and quiet with great snorkeling right in front of the hotel.
“Location, Location, Location!”
Just returned from our second trip to Coral Gardens. We go for the beach and the snorkeling, and Coral Gardens can't be beat on either count. It's small, clean, nothing fancy, but the rooms are nice and the view and beach access are AMAZING! If you want to snorkel, Coral Gardens has one of the two best spots on the island. Period. If you want luxury service, choices of places to eat, attractions/shopping within walking distance, stay closer to the center of Grace Bay. If you want quiet, a decent but small restaurant, sand like baby powder, water like turquoise glass, and a place to just kick back and be casual, Coral Gardens is perfect. If you want to dress for dinner and show off your jewelry and new clothes, go elsewhere. If you want lovely grounds, friendly people (guests and staff) and, again, to snorkel and float in amazing water, Coral Gardens fits the fill. We'll definitely go back.
“Great place to stay”
The Coral Gardens is in a perfect location. Right in front of some of the best snorkeling on the island. The hotel is clean and well kept. The hotel staff is very nice and attentive. The restaurant on site is very good, mainly Tex-Mex food, waitresses and bartenders are great. Rent a car, easy drive to many stores and restaurants. Overall a great vacation at a great hotel
“Nice hotel”
We stayed there this past June. I was a little concerned about the construction next store. Construction has been at a halt since Nov. It wasnt real pretty to look at, but you forget about it once you see the beauty of the water. Because the hotels are at an angle, partially facing the construciton, I would be a little concerned when the construction resumes( they currently have run out of money). The reef out front was great. Be sure to visit Smith reef in front of Turtle Point( about 200 yards down the beach). We loved the resturant out front. Try the breakfast tex mex burito. Be aware gratuity is added. It is like this in other resturants on the island. We ended us tipping double at The Conch shack( service wasnt even that great). We found Jerome to be real nice(as does everyone). He helped us with our luggage and helped us with beach chairs. When we first got there was gave him a nice tip. We are going back in January, but are going to stay somewhere else to save a little money. This hotel has a pretty good location being right in front of the reef. I also like how close it is to Turtle Cove. Although, location is not all that big a deal on an island this small if you have a rent a car. All in all nice hotel, nice value. I probably will be be staying there again one day.
“Would return in a heartbeat.”
Coral Gardens is a small intimate resort that is perfect for couples who are looking for a relaxing atmosphere in a quiet area. The oceanfront one bedroom "grand suite" was exactly as expected. All glass doors that retracted to wonderful views of Grace Bay and the reef directly in front of the resort. The landscaping, pool and beach were immaculate during our stay. You could not go wrong by choosing to stay at Coral Gardens on Grace Bay.
“What a Great Place”
The people at this hotel couldn't have been nicer. Upgraded us to direct ocean front when we checked in at no charge. Very nice place and would definitely return. Some restaurants little far to walk, so taxi or rental car necessary. If you want rest and relaxation and want to get away from the normal spring break crowd, this is the place.
“Great Getaway!”
We stayed in an Oceanfront Grand Suite and had a great time at Coral Gardens. The suite was fantastic and well appointed. The coral reef right off the beach features some of the best snorkling on the island. Jerome will take care of all of your needs at the beach. The Somewhere Cafe at the hotel has a limited Tex-Mex menu, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner (cash only). The quality of the food is good.
“A Great Place”
We rented a condo and were very satisfied. Great view from the room, only drawback was that the sliding doors which opened up to the balcony did not have screens. Since we experienced some mosquitos we could not leave open and enjoy the ocean breeze. Staff is very courteous and friendly. A layed back place. We loved it.
“Best combo for snorkeling and beach activity”
My husband and I stayed at Coral Gardens from 09/11-09/17 in a one bedroom ocean grand suite and could not have been more happy. The room was spacious and well decorated. The room had all the benefits of home (blender, toaster, oven, microwave, dishwasher). Plenty of dishes to cook and a large patio to sit and enjoy. We stayed in room 1112 on the first floor. The snorkeling was incredible and we saw so many different fish. The water is very calm, clear and warm. Entry to the water was sandy and easy (no giant rocks to have to climb over to go snorkel). The restaurant at the hote (Somewhere) was excellent, although we only had them for two days and then they closed for the season. We rented a car, however since the night we were arriving it would be dark we opted for a taxi to take us to the room, cost $20.00 for two. The IGA had everything you need and isn't too far away if you forget something. The two pools were average, although one was being closed so it could be resurfaced. But, with a incredible beach and clear water, I had no desire for a pool. We have never wanted to return to an island twice, just too many to see, however the Turks and Caicos is one island we will return to. The hotel is older, but is so close and convenient to snorkeling and beautiful trees and landscaping/gardens which makes up for the age of the hotel. If you like to snorkel multiple times a day and don't mind the older hotel, this is the place to stay. We loved Coral Gardens and will return!
“Best Snorkle right in front of condo!!”
This condo was just what we wanted. The beachfront one bedroom condo at Condos of Coral Gardens was perfectly situated with very well kept grounds and large lap pool the only thing between us and the ocean. The beach was white as could be and the ocean as bluegreen as anything we have seen.We have been to Tahiti,Bora Bora,St. Thomas, and several other islands and the water and sand top them all for beauty. We went April 22,2007 and the water was a little chilly, but maybe warmer later in the season. The beach is raked every morning and the pool and grounds are looked after every morning also. The condo complex has been given a fresh face lift and looks brand new.The ocean front one bedroom was large with 1 1/2 baths, separate bedroom, king bed large bathroom(Shower only). The living room opened to the glassed in deck by4 floor to ceiling glass doors witch slid into the wall opening the whole LR Beautiful sunsets and a small open air restaurant serveing beakfast, lunch and dinner top it all off. Also, a dive shop. Go, you will Love it.
