“North Pole's best 4 star”
This property is not new but it is quite well kept. The staff were very friendly and we felt at ease and comfortable. The included breakfast was superb and well worth it. The room on higher floor and toward the city had a nice view during the few minutes that was a bit light. (24 hours of night was the time we went) The location can't be better. The airport bus dropped us right by the hotel and you can basically walk to most sites and events from Nordic.
“Nice hotel but a long way from 4* or above”
I had a great view from my room on the 7th floor of the water and mountains, which was really nice. But the room is basic and decor old/tatty. Had i been in my room for a prolonged time it would have been a bigger issue, but i was ok with it. Also, their should be a safe in the room. Staff friendly but didn't have much information on what to do, weather reports etc. Breakfast was excellent and a must when visiting Tromso, simply because everything is so expensive their, not having to pay for breakfast saved me a lot of money.
“Loud thumping music until 2.00 a.m.”
A shabby room immediately above the bar where loud thumping music was playing until 2.00 a.m. Sleep impossible. At 00.30 a.m. they agreed to move me. There were few people staying in the hotel. Why was I put in a room immediately above the music? Moreover the room did not accord with my Expedia booking.
