My husband, our two little girls, and I recently stayed at the Grand Beach Resort Hotel for two nights over Easter. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the linens smelled fresh. We enjoyed the continental breakfast both mornings. The Bay was gorgeous - as always!

It was our 1st anniversary so we wanted it to be special but not expensive. The entire staff was super friendly and when you came into view they treated us like we were the only guests and we had their complete attention. It was awesome!

Get beach side room. View of Grand Traverse Bay is wonderful! Room clean and comfortable. Only issue was that breakfast room was not laid out well or staffed for the volume of guests. Go to breakfast earlier than usual to avoid rush. However, even being overwhelmed, the breakfast host was very pleasant. Friendly employees throughout.

“Meh.”

The property is middle-of-the-road and somewhat dated in appearance and furnishings. The breakfast is a carb-fest and could be more balanced. Although I understand that we stayed during the off-season, there appeared to be only one staff person on duty at any time. We also asked for a late check-out and were denied - not because they had new guests arriving, but because the desk clerk didn't want to inconvenience the cleaning staff. There are many, many hotel choices in the Traverse City area, especially along the bay. You want to believe that a property would place just a wee bit of emphasis on customer service...but you would be disappointed.

I would say it's a good hotel but overpriced for the room and services that you receive.

Room was nice and quiet.Staff was very friendly.It was 73 and sunny took a walk on the beach.Wish I could of stayed longer.

Non smoking room smelled liked someone had been chain smoking in it.
