“Perfect TC hotel for me!”

I was visiting cousins near Interlochen, Michigan, and wanted my own room for 2 nights. The motel is located on the south side of Traverse City (TC), and was probably the closest chain motel to them, about 8 miles away. Reasonably priced for a resort city. I was given the room with a wheel-chair-accessible facilities, even though I don't require that. The room was wonderfully appointed. As it was on the same hallway as the breakfast room, you probably wouldn't be able to sleep in, in that room. I was entirely satisfied with this hotel and would stay there again.

“Convenient location between airport and Interlochen Arts Academy”

I stayed at this hotel because I was attending festival and graduation at the Interlochen Arts Academy, and needed to be close to the school to drive back and forth. The hotel was very conveniently located, about half way between the Traverse City airport and the school. The breakfast was included and was nice, you make your own waffles, and they also had bakery items. The coffee was not great. Unfortunately they only use disposable cups, plates, and silverware.The room was much more comfortable than I had expected from the the outside of the hotel and the lobby area. Although the hotel sits right on a county road, there was no traffic noise. My only complaint is that there was a really bad smell in the bathroom, I think it was coming from the tub drain. Fair price for what you get.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. The staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was acceptable. The price was right. I will say, the very first thing I did notice was that the grounds could have used some maintenance. Shrubbery and landscaping was overgrown but it didn't affect my stay.

Room was clean, but many fixtures in the bathroom were damaged. Room was not cleaned during two night stay. Hotel is far from town.
