don’t expect first rate service. except from one employe, most of the hotel staff are seasonal amateurs waiters, bartenders, etc.
This show during dinner when you ask for a dish and never get delivered or, no bread is set on the table unless you ask, so the service standards are very low and inconsistent. There was a big group staying at the hotel and the hotel give preference to them on everything, tours, service, etc. other passengers are consider a nuance and this is reflected on the service, you can ask for a drink and will take up to 20 minutes to be deliver, (bring your son booze & wine) you can try to book a tour, horse ride, etc but everything is book by this large group, specially group related to the Chilean government, is like the own the place, this is in sharp contrast with other properties such “Lago Grey” hotel who reserve premium tables and tours space for their paying guest. We reserved STANDARD PLUS room
when we arrived noted that the room is built into the attic of the hotel roof, as such the available window is located in the ceiling of the room, to have a view you have to open and actually stick your head out to the roof..with the window closed you have a beautiful view.of the Patagonian sky if you are tall watch out. The attic room is in the 4th floor. the elevator only reach the 3rd floor, to reach your attic room you have to uses the stairs, Safety - I didn’t see any smoke heat detector or emergency escape signage to escape the attic rooms…
