“A location convenient only to my own use”

I was visiting family friends and this was the hotel closest to their place. As far as a place to stay the night goes, it was serviceable. Although on the first day, the air-conditioning was cranked up to a very uncomfortable 30ºC. Other than that, everything else was of appreciable standard. Front-desk staff were quite helpful - especially since my key card ended up not working on numerous occasions. They happily replaced it and always offered a spare so I wouldn't have to rush up and down the place trying to find one that worked. Breakfast was rather abysmal and unappetising but fortunately I had my own daily plans for food!

“Don't think I would go back.”

The room was small, there were holes in the sheets. Breakfast was good but the coffee pot was empty when we wanted to leave and take one with us. There were not enough towels in the bathroom for showing in the evening and the morning.

“Accommodating staff”

Used expedia to book our stay and didn't notice that the only rooms available were for smokers. We got one that was really stenched so I asked for an upgrade to a non-smoking and was told by the front desk clerk there was none available. Then I spoke with the Chinese supervisor who found a non-smoking room and willingly gave it to us. My thanks and appreciation to him. Expedia should show the "smoking/non-smoking" room descriptions in bigger and bolder fonts so families don't have to suffer egregiously due to inconspicuous labels.

“IT was OK”

Stayed because of cost- and location to HWY Not clean- and this was hard because of travel with our young kids- could tell that it had new sheets and new towels, but really not trusting of the blankets or of the floor. We showered with shoes and turned off by mold in our bathroom- Could not leave due to G8 and no hotels available. Beautiful pool for kids and was oddly enough extremely clean- McDonald's and Shoppers around the corner and easily accessible

“One night two night max”

Not a bad hotel. You get what you pay for. The staff and housekeeping staff were nice enough. The hotel can use a major upgrade, room was old and drab. Was on the top floor but the road noise sounded like I was on the first floor right off the street.

“Stay was okay”

Location was good for where we needed to be, and the pool and jacuzzi was a nice bonus too. However, almost everytime we went to an ice/ vending machine none of them were working, and at times our ac didn't work.

“not bad, but nothing special”

This is an older and smaller Travelodge than most I've stayed in. It's location right beside the 401 is great for highway access, and in my experience, the traffic noise is not overwhelming. Just an okay place to stay; functional but nothing more.

“very old hotel”

First room given was to be a non-smoking room....smelled of smoke. 2nd room shown smelled like it had been closed up for 20 years...old musty smell. The 3r room was very much like the 2nd, All three rooms were very small and dark. We were 3 and no room to move in any of these rooms. Although the price was good, the rooms were not. We went back to the the desk and the staff spoke to a manager and he took us to the next room. it ended up being a mini-suite 2x the size, brightness and did not smell at all. The room was given at the price we already registered with. The staff were very accomodating, friendly and pleasant to deal with. Thanks Travelodge.
