“Review”
Good experience overall. Great location. Serious construction problems out front while we were there.
“A platinum experience”
Always a real class act! Extremely convenient when travelling by train and arriving across the street at Union Station or landing at Billy Bishop Airport with the free shuttle available to the door of the hotel.
“excellent service”
We booked a king bed but due to construction ended up with a queen for same rate. Service in restaurant for breakfast was excellent.
“do it again”
only thing we didn't like 100%,found the beds a bit soft as we are use to a firm mattress, other than that excellent, liked the pictures on the walls of days gone by very interesting,it must have been some place to stay in the 30's and 40's
“Royal York Lifetime Good Standing”
Well located, long time existing, good staff, good restaurant, connected to the train station an main business centers. I have been going there for the last 32 years
“February stay.”
I stayed on the gold floor. The picture shown for the 'Gold Suite' on Expedia is incorrect, that's the junior suite apparently. So I was pretty disappointed when I opened the door to just a bed/desk/tv, albeit extremely luxurious. Also, there are no smoking rooms on the gold floor, so be prepared to go 12 flights down and outside if need be. The service and professionalism of the staff was superb, they were extremely welcoming to me. The lounge was very swank, and great food was served for breakfast and dinner. All free of charge, too! Light classical music playing on the Bose stereo system was a nice touch to walk into. As a message to other young adults..You'll be out of your league. I was stared down on that floor by nearly every other guest. I'm assuming because I was ~30 years younger and not in formal attire. I was just a 20 year old in jeans and a t-shirt having a good time. Though this hotel is amazingly gorgeous, I probably wouldn't stay here again. The price, and small size of the rooms would deter me.
“First timer to the real Big City”
So much to see and do ,really enjoyed the pool and spa so nice to use after walking and touring around.Very historical excellent location, would deffinately go back .THANKS
“CN Tower light show”
We had a wonderful evening show of the CN Tower lighted up, from our room window.Great being downtown and being close to the waterfront. The staff was most anxious to please .
“Toronto Fairmont Royal York”
Beautiful grand hotel of eras gone by. beautifully appointed and first class service. Very expensive for families. $42 a day for parking, $16 Cocktails and $35 breakfast. All delicious but not for the frugal.
“Best Hotel In Toronto !”
4 Star, elegant, modern, attractive, close to all the nearby locations in downtown Toronto such as the Skydome, Air Canada Centre,Union Station, The CN Tower, the nightclub/entertainment district, etc. Valet parking was great ( although for an additional fee ). Hotel service was 2nd to none, every inch of the hotel was clean. Nice swimming pool, heated jacuzzi and exercise room. Hotel has all the amenities you could want - gift shops, clothing stores, winery shop, conveienece shop , etc.
