“Highly recommended!”

Had a great stay at Super 8 which is located right in the heart of Chinatown; very easy to walk to everything located in Kensington/Chinatown area. Hotel was comfortable and clean...we would stay again for sure!

Dining

Great place to eat is Pho Hung around the corner from hotel at 350 Spadina...they do a spectacular beef pho and the XL easily feeds 2 people, and to the point of being stuffed....also, you HAVE to try #14 on the menu....the most amazing, off the charts, rock your world, chicken curry. Cash only seems to be a common thing in most places in Chinatown so make sure you have plenty of cash on hand for places to eat and to splurge on treats at the markets.

“Great location, Great value”

We booked last minute through expedia. This was our first time staying at the Super 8 downtown Toronto. The location was perfect. Rooms were clean, check in was very efficient, very secure hotel -room card is required to operate the elevator. Each room has a microwave & a mini fridge. Excellent value and we will stay here again. It is right in the heart of Chinatown. The parking lot entrance was a little difficult to find initially.

We used this hotel as it was in the neighbourhood of my partners Dr. and it worked out very well. We had dinner down the street and it was the best noodles I have had for years.

“Good value basic downtown lodging”

This hotel is trying to compete with downtown offerings. It barely makes it in, but does so at an a good price. If you are looking to trim the luxuries but still have a respectable, safe and clean inn, then this is a possibility for you to consider. When travelling on my own dime (as opposed to business travel) I would consider staying here again. I travel to Toronto to visit my 12-year old son who is boarding in the city to go to school. The hotel had to be good enough for me to want to have him stay with me there, and it met this requirement. My only complaint is that the posted surcharge for having a child stay in the room is a bit high considering all it is costing them is an extra bowl of fruit loops. (Breakfast is included in the price.) You are in the heart of chinatown, so if you want to eat authentic chinese or especially vietnamese fare, this is the place to be.

“Good value for Toronto”

Within 4 kilometers of Toronto's CNE. Right in the heart of Chinatown and walking distance to just about everything. It was the only hotel we saw in Chinatown. Breakfast was sparse (croissants, bagels, cereal, coffee, tea) would have liked more choices but overall it was good value for the money. Service was great and the front desk staff were excellent to deal with and very knowledgable.
