“Good deal”
Nice hotel, great price, good restaurant, great location
“Good experience”
We had a good experience. We wanted to stay in North York to visit both downtown (via subway) and out of town (McMichael Art Gallery) locations. The hotel was a good choice for us. It was well maintained, access to the subway system was ideal, and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing that could be improved is more good restaurants in the vicinity, but that is not much of a problem since we had a car and could go a bit of a distance to find one that was highly rated.
“Convenient”
The subway ride to downtown a bit long, but the hotel is directly connected to the subway, so it's really convenient. Clean, courteous, in a good neighborhood.
“Disappointment”
Staff were great and it's above subway line but that's it for good words The hotel is old therefore not clean, old carpets, not recommended for dust allergy The hotel do not support shuttel to and from the airport / bus terminal and that's cost too much.
“Great hotel, great price, great Sunday buffet”
We attended a social at the hotel and decided to book a room. The price very reasonable and the rooms were well decorated and comfortable. It was the perfect place for us.
“a pleasent and relaxing stay”
Nice hotel, very comfortable room, quiet and in a great location for dinner options and access to and from the highway
“decent hotel”
it was my second time staying in this hotel, and the room was executive room.. normally in all the hotels there is a card that you can put on the sheet to either clean them or not...there was no such a thing in the room so i imagine they change the sheet every time they clean the room, but it wasn't the case....i accidentally spilled my foundation on the bed, so i was pretty sure they will change the sheet but when i got back, they just make the bed with the big stain on the sheet. also the towels. i put them on the bed by purpose, so they understand that i want a clean one, but they just put the same towel on my chair !!! the hotel staffs were very rude and they were no help. the good thing about the hotel was the location, and the breakfast was delicious.
“Very good if you have business in downtown”
The TTC subway is just below the hotel. That makes it the most convenient location from commuting point of view. The rooms need little renovation though. The carpets are soiled. The wall paper from one corner peeled off when we were staying.
“Location! Location! Location!”
OK so lets set aside the fact that the location is perfect, located on Young Street a stone trow from the 401. Lets set aside, that its fiscally located in the same complex as the North York Main Library and City Hall, so after 5:00pm place gets really quiet. I guess you can ignore the economic savings of having the subway access in the same building because you how easy it is to get around Toronto. Here's what you cant ignore, A major 10 Theater facility across the street , and within the same building there a full Lablaws grocery store open late and even a Future Shop, a Wendy's and about a dozen other small restaurants up and down the street. If your traveling with a family these are resources you need and the closer the better. Would I go back, Count On It.
“Clean, modern hotel in North York neighborhood”
I stayed here recently with two kids. The manager, whom I had emailed beforehand, very kindly made sure that we would have a room with a queen bed as well as a trundle bed, which comfortably accommodated all of us. It was a big relief, after a long drive to Toronto, to have such a clean and comfortable room. There were several decent restaurants nearby, and the hotel's lobby was lively (but not noisy), with pleasant seating arrangements and a couple of computers for public use.
