“Vlad”

I picked this hotel because it was close to a relative we were visiting in Toronto. And just needed a place to crash. I didn't expect much and that's exactly what we got. Interior of the room was nothing to be thrilled about. Lightly masked hole in the closet door. Burnt through bed cover. Smell was ok. Air worked. Bathroom fan didn't. We asked for new one - never got it in two days. Stay away if you can, but if price and location is important, and you are not too touchy - it'll do for a day or two.

“VERY MUCH IN DISARRAY”

THE HOTEL RECEPTION IS HARD TO FIND, SERVICE IS VERY POOR, AIR-CONDITIONING UNIT HAD ALL CONTROLS BROKEN, REFRIGERATOR IN ROOM DID NOT WORK, THE HOTEL HAS NO INTERNET IN THE ROOMS LIKE THEY ADVERTISE IN THE WEBSITE

“good for what was needed”

budget type hotel - location was important for the event attended -undergoing some renovations - price ok

“NEVER AGAIN”

I WAS NEVER INFORM THAT THIS HOTEL WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION IT WAS A MESS ALL OVER ROOM WAS SMELL OF URINE.NO MANAGER TO TALK TO .THEY LIED ABOUT HAVING INTERNET!!!! THE BAD THING ABOUT THIS I PAID UPFRONT FOR THIS.

“Nice room for the price”

We arrived in late afternoon, the room was ready for us. Check-in was a breeze. Room was spotless, everything in order. We needed extra towels, so my son-in-law went to the desk to get them. He asked for suggestions about near-by restaurants and was given several locations. Breakfast was adequate, nothing exceptional, but for the price of the room, it was fine. Check-out was quick with no problems. We would recommend the hotel for someone who isn't looking for luxury but just a nice room for a decent price.

Dining
We looked on line for a restaurant near the theater and found Moldova Restaurant. Learned it had Romanian and Russian food (both from our ethnic backgrounds), so we decided to try it. It was great. The food was superb -- wonderfully presented -- and the service excellent. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to try something different from the normal range of dining fare. The prices were reasonable also.

“Only if you need to stay in this area”

I forgot a cell phone in the room and they refused to mail it to me. So i had to go all the way back to Toronto (i live in Ottawa) to get it. Also, there is always a wedding or some other loud function going on in the lobby. Don't expect a relaxing night. Only useful if you need to stay in this area.
