“Fantastic TIFF home base!!”
From the moment I walked into the Intercontinental Yorkville, I was treated with the utmost care and attention. From the welcome snack plate, to chocolates on the pillow, to valets who treated my Kia like it was a Bentley, everything exceded my expectations. The linens were crisp and white, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was very spacious and clean. A bulb was out in the lamp by my bed, so I left a note for housekeeping and it was changed promptly. Other than that I had no issues with my room. We ate in the hotel restaurant quite a bit and found it delicious. It was a great home base for getting to my TIFF films, and having the shops and restaurants of Yorkville right there was an added bonus. My 2 seventeen year old girls stayed with me in the evenings, and were dazzled by the star power in the hotel. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.....can't wait until TIFF 2012!
“Great location in Toronto”
This hotel is perfectly located close to many attractions (restaurants, the University of Toronto, museums, shopping) as well as being on a safe and useful subway line. Everything you expect in a premium hotel.
“Fantastic Hotel”
I found the whole holiday a very exsiting and happy time. From getting on the plane to coming home my time in Toronto was mind blwoing. The trip expedia booked to Niagara falls was truly amzing. I would always book with you guys again and again. Thank you for making my holiday awesome. x Hotel fantastic, staff freindly and helpful, limo pickups made us feel important.
“Great location & Service - Clean with good staff”
We stayed on a long holiday Victoria Day week-end. The location is great, closed to luxury shops and restaurants. The only complaint is that the Wi-Fi is not complementary ($4 for 30mins). Valet is $35 per day, plus all the tips from in&out and you have to wait at least 10mins to get your car, so plan accordingly. The hotel bar has a nice garden and good drinks selection. The restaurant is a four diamond, we did go but there is an all day great breakfast place next door (Over-Easy) and Starbucks is a block away. All staff was helpful and friendly. The beds were so comfortable. Luckily, we always bring earplugs so the noise from our window facing the courtyard and outside bar did not prevent us from sleeping. The elevators were a bit problematic; they didn't open unless you push them open to enter them. It was never a problem when exiting. Would recommend it, would stay there again. Been to intercontinental hotels all over the world, obviously the new ones are nicer but for an old one it was fine. This is a good choice if you are looking for an average nice brand hotel, safe; clean, with no bedbugs and with great location.
“If i came back to Toronto, i would stay here again!!!”
Hotel is Clean, Friendly, comfortable and the location is perfect!! 10/10 for everything!!
“it's my hotel in toronto”
i was there for a couple of days before heading to the north woods, and from the people to the food everything was excellent. when one considers the convenience of shopping, dining, mass transportation (the only way to go in toronto), entertainment, culture, and "philosopher's walk" across the street taking you into the heart of canada's best (and beautiful) university, what more can one ask?
“Excellent Service”
The hotel offered fantastic service. I arrived early and had to rush to an appointment. They put an extra cleaner on my room and even prepared a quick lunch for me so I could make my meeting. They went far above and beyond what you would expect as good customer service. The room was, nice and clean. All in a all a very good hotel!
“Wonderful location and charm”
If you want to be in the heart of it all, this is the place to stay. Across the street from the Royal Ontario Museum. Walk to restaurants, best shopping in Toronto. Hotel itself was clean, quiet. Room was good size with great king bed. This is where we will stay when/if we go back to Toronto.
“Favourite Hotel in Toronto”
Love this hotel. My son is at U of T and it is a very short walk to visit him on campus. Next time I will ask for a room on the south side of the hotel and as high up as possible. We stayed on the 3rd floor on the north side and could hear the subway going under us all the time.
“A beautiful and comfortable hotel.”
We like the Intercontinental Yorkville very much. The hotel is beautiful and we love the artwork on display. The area is wonderful with the Royal Ontario Museum right across the street and other museums and galleries within walking distance. The staff is professional and very pleasant. This was our second stay here and we plan to come again.
