Excellent staff, but 3 star room.

Posted 3-Nov-2014
Pros: Location, view and big king sized bed
Cons: room size and room amenities
Location: Great restaurants near by (Burger Priest, Bahn Mi boys, etc.)
The staff was friendly and very accomodating. The TV was fuzzy and didn't have that many channels. Room wasn't that big, and not quite up to Hyatt Regency standards, but I liked the bathroom. Location was FANTASTIC. This made up for everything.

Ok for my need a quick stay very basic

Breakfast needs more choice. Better selection of breakfast. Cornor of bed very sharp, cleaners need to take more care cleaning the room and hoover floor. Some tv stations need tuning in.

Nice hotel close to all the sights in Toronto.

Posted 30-Oct-2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet was well stocked with food for all tastes and delicious too.
Cons: I found the bed a little too hard but my husband was very comfortable.
Location: Once we arrived we were disappointed we hadn't gone earlier to go to a show as we were in the theatre district. Next time we will do that.
My husband and I had two meetings early in the morning. We decided to go to Toronto the night before to avoid the stress of getting to our meetings on time. Staying at the Hyatt gave us the opportunity to both be at our meetings on time without stress. The Hyatt was close to both locations to which we were going.

Disappointing

Posted 20-Oct-2014
Pros: location and staff
Cons: The rooms need a complete makeover!!
Location: It's in the theatre district. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. Subway stop is very close so that you don't have to drive in traffic.
We were so disappointed in the room. We have been in other Hyatts that had better quality furniture, etc. in the rooms. We have never seen décor that looked so cheap and cumbersome. The beds were comfortable and that was about it. The breakfast buffet was terrible for $24. We went down the street for breakfast the second morning and enjoyed it much more. The only positive thing I can say is that the location was great and the staff were very nice. Check-in was fast and easy. We expected much more from this good quality chain.

Advertised room not available

Posted 19-Oct-2014
Stayed here many times over the years, definitely starting to show wear and tear in the room. Had an issue this time with not having a king sized bed available, even though that is what I had booked. Clerk and manager had the same story about rooms sold to expedia not being a priority as far as fulfilling the type of room booked. I'm an elite plus Expedia member, travel a substantial amount, and this was the first time I've had an issue like this, and had no reasonable offer to remedy the situation. Will not be booking there again, too many options in DT Toronto to even consider going back there with staff and policies like that in place.

Modern, chic and comfortable

Posted 19-Oct-2014
In all Hyatt Regency hotels around a world, I always see there is a special theme and style for the rooms. Modern, cozy, stylish and big room sizes. You feel very comfortable. Location is in best area in Toronto and you enjoy the cleanliness of rooms and politeness of staffs

Great Location!

Posted 8-Oct-2014
Pros: Everything except our room was in need of an update.
Cons: Room a bit old and in need of modernization.
Location: See above
My friend and I stayed there for 2 nights in Sept/14 while attending a concert. I am from a small town, took a wrong turn off the Gardiner so was a little flustered when I arrived at the Hyatt. Now self parking but ammenities said valet parking so they parked my car for me for which I was very grateful. Check-in staff, in fact, all staff, were fantastic. Close to many restaurants, ACC, CN Tower, Aquarium & Roger's Centre, all within walking distance. The Hyatt restaurant was also delicious and great prices. The only issue we had was that our room was a bit run down and in need of renovations. Was modern in it's day but in dire need of an update. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Great hotel for a night out in downtown Toronto

Posted 6-Oct-2014
Driving in Toronto can be a horrible experience so if you're looking for a place in the middle of downtown life the Hyatt is steps away from clubs, food and CN Tower. Good choice for mid level price.
