Decent value hotel in central location

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Pros: Location to my meetings, and the distance to a fabulous Thai restaurant (Koh San Road, a must if you like Thai food...)
Location: See my comment above on the restaurant. In general, this hotel is centrally located to many restaurants and bars.
I was only in Toronto for one night, and it was a business trip- so my focus was rate, location and comfort. All checked off nicely. I did have an incident getting ready (and naturally rushing) for my meetings when my hair dryer blew up. This was, as you can imagine- a female emergency. I called front desk and explained the quick need for a replacement. I ended up calling back again frantic after hitting the 15 min mark, with the hair dryer showing up another few min later. I know this wasn't completely unreasonable timing, but I was left feeling a bit dissatisfied.

Super nice hotel staff members. However, not so clean bed sheets and disappointing bathroom conditions.

Decent hotel, in downtown core.

The hotel pool is located on the roof which is nice, however it is only 3 feet deep. The gym lacks in some areas. The rooms are nice however smaller than expected. Hotel staff was adequate. Took more than 12 hours for a cot to be delivered. Very nice location. Bars and restaurants right outside the front doors. 5 minutes walk from; CN tower, Rogers Centre and the aquarium. Eatin center is 20 minute walk. Parking is expensive however convinient.

Booked as a last minute trip

Posted 21-Jul-2015
I had my birthday this past weekend, and was looking to get out of town. I booked this trip as a bundle package from expedia. The Hotel exceeded my expectations. In the center of downtown, super nice rooms and friendly staff. A bargain for what I paid.

Loud and uncomfortable

Posted 21-Jul-2015
I would not stay here again. The doors to the rooms were hollow and as a result they let lots of noise through and they would rattle if anyone down the hall opened or closed their hotel doors. I had to stuff a towel underneath the door to keep it quiet. The pillows were so worn that you had to use at least 2 maybe 3 to get some pillow effect. The elevators in the tower were always crowded since only 2/4 elevators were in service. And lastly, the bathroom has a frosted window so if you turn on the light in the middle of the night it shines into the main room. I stay at a lot of hotels in a year and this was by far one of the worst experinences in recent memory. Not recommended.

Close to Rogers Centre

Posted 14-Jul-2015
Pros: It was quiet, and the staff was very nice.
Cons: Have food available later for people coming back from events. The kitchen closed at 11 p.m., with not even any room service after that.
Location: King Street West is a vibrant social scene, and Rogers Centre is about a 4 block walk.
Hotel was promoted in newspaper as being new, but it was a renovated older hotel and this showed through the amenities, finishes, etc. We were on a high floor which cost a fair amount, but the bathroom was a closet with an older small tub (ie. not a soaker tub) which would have been the case in another hotel for that price. Also the balcony was locked and off limits which took the wind out of the whole experience as we were facing the lake but couldn't enjoy it fully.
