“A diamond without any rough.”
Outstanding as to service and facilities. A value price motor hotel focussed to the comfort and convenience of the traveler. I have paid far more and received far less at three times the daily rate here.

“Great Deal”
They gave me a free upgrade and a microwave in the room, the reception staff was great. The location was good for us not too far from wonderland and hwy 401. Overall a good find for the money
“Will return with family”
Very satisfied, staff very helpful. Enjoyed being closed to shopping amenities and kids loved pool. A little difficult though to find hotel, map of the area is very helpful.
“Can't wait to go back”
We booked the Howard Johnson in Markham for a family getaway as the price was good and the location was convenient for us. We were not expecting much but we ended up being very impressed with the service and facilities. The staff were very friendly, the pool was excellent for the kids and the restaurant was great for breakfast. Our room was clean and very quiet. We will definitely be back again. Thanks!
“Easily accessible location in Markham/Richmond Hill area.”
The hotel staff were very professional and helpful. The room was adequate for our short stay. The only downside in our opinion was that the attached restaurant was not very good and the restaurant staff was not very friendly. We ate there once for dinner and once for breakfast. After that we found other locals to eat.

The rate was very good, so I did not expect much. The room was very clean and the staff were very helpful - I forgot some items and the girl at the front desk helped me out. The restaurant was OK, nothing special
“Excellent hotel!”
Stayed in a recently renovated room. The bathroom is exceptional. The comforter is no longer your run of the mill polyester "thing". It is a down comforter with a duvet cover that is washed frequently. Very warm and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed there last Labor day to go to the Zoo and will continue to stay there when we visit Toronto!
“Warm Suggestion”
Section of this hotel is being renovated so this is 1 minor reason I do not rate this hotel a "5" based on my own expectation. My expectation is simple: clean, comfortable, good location, competitive price are mandatory. Area of improvement: instead of using "cold white" fluorescent bulbs, my suggestion is to use "warm white" fluorescent bulbs in the living area also which will make the room "feels warmer and home" instead of "just a room for the night(s)". In my room, the bathroom has "warm white" fluorescent bulbs. Cold White = Typical White Paint Warm White = Yellowish, like old light bulbs
“Better provide breakfast.”
We All enjoy in staying in the hotel, which is clean, staffs are very helpful. Location is perfect, easy to assess. It is good and quite acceptable.
