“Will stay here again next time I visit Toronto on business”
Great location, very clean and sleek hotel with friendly service
“Sophisticated, quiet luxury”
This is the place to stay if you are looking for a quiet, upscale service and comfort. The staff are warm, attentive and yet unobtrusive. A perfect romantic getaway for adults who are accustomed to a superior level of accomodation.
“Pretty decent...”
Hotel looks good - very modern and attractive... Staff were mostly from out of town - so not too on top of things such as great spots to eat, or where the closest gas station is etc... Very noisy on weekends due to the clubs across the street... Not much a hub of action, but overall a decent boutique hotel... Watch the pricing on the mini-bar supplies - over the top expensive... Good location for food, shows and shops and Skydome...
“Great boutique hotel in convenient location”
We were 4 friends in Toronto for the weekend. Had a great stay. Convenient location, very nice boutique hotel. Very close to Rogers Ctr, Air Canada Ctr and CN tower. Eaton's Ctr walkable, Yorkville shopping short cab ride away. Would definitely stay here again.
“Great hotel but...”
This is a great hotel but based on the expensive price it is to stay here, I was a bit put off by the added $40/night they ding you for parking. This was such an outrageous fee (given what we already paid), that I would consider staying somewhere else the next time.
“Very Nice Stay”
Stayed for 2 nights on May 31 & June 1 on recommendation from a family member who has stayed at Le Germain often. We wanted a location in the lower downtown area where some events were scheduled at restaurants and because we were arriving in Toronto at Union Station on a Via Rail train from western Ontario. The choice was perfect. We walked from the Station to the hotel and were welcomed with an efficient and pleasant check in. Our Expedia arrangement was flawless. Our room was very modern, comfortable, clean, well appointed, and quiet. WiFi was complimentary. Great shower and toiletries. We walked to our scheduled events, and did some nostalgic walks around downtown Toronto (where we had lived in the late 1960s and had rarely visited in the intervening years). The location meant that we could easily stop back at the hotel after a walking excursion. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. NOTE: I believe that Le Germain has recently opened a 2nd location not too distant from the one at which we stayed which is on Mercer St.
“French Twist!”
I liked the hotel, pretty good service overall and the concierge very useful in getting to know places in Toronto - theater, restaurants, speciality shopping... However, I noted two changes from my previous stay two years earlier: 1) Victor's Restaurant in the hotel seems to have slipped (service and food) and the noise from the night clubs across Mercer Street was over the top. All in all I like the place and would go again.
“Great hotel in entertainment district of Toronto”
great hotel all lived up to expectations except that the restaurant was under construction. Also some noise in the hotel due to the construction.
“Le Germain a gem!”
Really enjoyed our stay at the Le Germain. It's a beautiful hotel, packed with style and elegance. For it's location, and great Expedia discount, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Toronto. I would caution that the hotel is on somewhat of a side street. It may not feel safe walking there late night. (The free hot chocolate in the lobby on a cold fall day helps too!) The room was exactly as expected - roomy, spacious, and well maintained. LOVED the 50inch TV; only wished the channels were HD! I look forward to another stay.
“Nice hotel”
Great location, very nice bar. Excellent customer service. Stylish but comfortable.
