“Terrible!!”
This hotel was very disappointing. The bathroom was filthy - there was HAIR all over the bathtub & floor in the washroom. The room itself was dated - the bathtub was yellow, the showerhead was terrible, and the hot/cold water was reversed! We called the front desk about the hairy bathroom, and the guy told me that housekeeping was already gone for the day, but he could "send somebody up to look at it". Not too helpful. And the beds were like rocks, so we barely slept. I've stayed at other Holiday Inn Expresses, and they were much nicer, cleaner, and more comfortable. Good location, cheap price, but everything else sucked.
“A Hidden Little Gem”
My family and I have stayed here several times over the past year. We have found the staff very friendly, the rooms very comfortable and clean, and the morning breakfast has alot of variety. This place is a hidden little gem and we plan to stay again.
“Overpriced old hotel”
It was a convenient location, but that was the only good thing about it. Other times that I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express the rooms were more modern. This place had an AC unit that rattled loudly. Tile in bathroom was cracked in bathroom and did not seem clean. Breakfast was average. I have had much better at other Holiday Inn Express.
“great place for the money”
This hotel is a little older but is is very clean, comfortable beds and good service. We would not hesitate to return. They had an excellent continential breakfast as well. We were travelling with a 2 year old and she slept on the pull out couch with no problem.
“"Hopeless hotel ever stayed in my life"”
The complete experience was awfully sad. I have travelled around a lot in my country as well as in USA , but the ,most bitter was here . First of all the website where we reserve room does not have an option to reserve for a refrigerator. On arrival @ hotel wen we checked into the room we wanted to request for an refrigerator and we did it. They said it will have to be done prior to check-in . Then after requesting the manager said the logistics guys are out for the day and shall get it tomorrow morning at 9 AM. Since we were tourists , we left for tourist visit early at 7.30 in the morning and once back in the night we did not find any refrigerator , neither was there a note from Manager/Logistics about not being able to provide one. I needed it as i had 23 months old baby with me. I had to store milk yogurt and cheese for baby. Upon calling the manager was arrogant enough to speak rudely and deny that they had never told that they will definitely give one. We kept quiet. Apart from these dramas, on the day of check-out an house keeping lady knocks door at 8.40 AM and demands whether we are checking out or not. We very well know that the time limit is till 11 AM and we shall do it. We were never interested to extend our stay in that dirty hotel filled with arrogant mass. It was heights of toleration. She claims to be sent by front desk.... Who would ever be interested to extend and stay there. We do not need any reminders by useless people...... THE WORST STAY EVER...
“Great for watching tennis!”
Our room was great; lots of space (we had a pull out couch) and very clean. The air conditioner made the room quite comfortable, as Toronto was VERY hot during our visit. We enjoyed the continental breakfast, and were surprised at the variety of items available. The location is pretty perfect, as we were there to watch the Men's Canadian Open tennis, and is close to many major traffic routes, shopping and transit lines. We rented a car, as it was a bit too far to walk and the neighbourhood seemed a bit rough. We have no complaints about the hotel itself and had an excellent time for our first trip to Toronto!
“Very average”
Rooms were clean and comfortable, with excellent housekeeping and front desk staff. The little breakfast buffet you put on is average, but guests have no other choice but Perkins in the hotel down the road....The hotel looks old and outdated. We were extremely disappointed as we arrived on Wed. Aug. 11 - Monday Aug., 16th and not once were any of the vending machines refilled anywhere in the hotel. Front desk staff had no idea when or if the machines would be filled. It was the Rogers Cup Tennis Tournament, it was very humid and hot, there are no stores around to buy water and you could have made ALOT of money off of just the water and we suspect the other guests would have been very happy if they could have just gotten cold water.. Not everybody will drink tap water..... We would strongly suggest you take those signs down in the elevator that suggest the hotel has achieved "excellence" . You have a long way to make it to excellence! In my opinion this is not an ideal area or hotel for families.
“Can't not wait to go back”
Very good
“Decent Place for Brief Stays”
Overall this is a good place to stay for a night or two. Its location is not close to anywhere of significance, except that there is easy access to hyw 400 if you need to go north of Toronto. The people were very nice and they provided all of the extras they advertised. The room was small but comfortable and clean.
“Visit Toronto”
After we got back to Boston, there was an additional $3.5 charge on my credit card. I am not sure what it was for, but I think it was for the bottle of water that was left on the table in our room upon our arrival. Thinking that it was complemetary, we drank it. Even though we are talking about $3.50 which is not alot, it bothers me that they go to this length to get even a small change out of you. I find this very aggrevating and decieving...
