“Very Satisfied.”
Room was very good and economical. Parking inexpensive. Internet was easy and fast to access. Room well maintained. Granted there are signs of wear in the hall and pool area but I tend to spend more time and sleep in the room. Nice warm pool and hot tub to boot. Decent quick breakfast in lobby area of pastries and fruit, toast, etc. Quite satisfied.
“No hot water! No restaurant,no lounge”
No hot water in the morning- when i called down to ask what was up I got no answer from the front desk. Suggest you wait till the renovations are complete to stay here
“Cheap, utility hotel, you need a car”
Initially given a room on the freeway side on 2nd floor. Bad move - very noisy. the hotel changed my room without any fuss - 8th floor on the other side. Much better. Hotel is worn but comfortable. Service was polite. Bend (King) was comfortable enough. No bugs :-) A range of pillows which was nice. Breakfast was more like a Best Western - continental style / limited but decent. Local facilities are non-existant (I knew that from other reviews). This is an office park - not a hotel district. Nearest Mall is about 20 minutes walk and has Starbucks, fast food, etc. You really need a car unless you are visiting one of the local businesses or you can walk the metro. The line starts near the Mall (20 min walk) and it can get you into downtown in about an hour with one change. Overall, got a room at 1/2 downtown rates. My business was mid-town so reasonably convenient for that. Don't expect anything above the absolute basics and you'll be satisfied.
“not bad for an overnight stay but don't count on eating the so-called complimentary breakfast”
my sister and i went to this hotel for a quick overnight stay as we were attending a concert at the ACC. we didn't want to be right downtown, but not too far. location was decent - clean safe area, and a short walk to the main subway lines with only one transfer. room was fine...small but clean and tidy, comfortable beds...parking was reasonable at only $5/night. my only complaint, which left us with a poor overall impression was that the hotel's website said complimentary breakfast so we woke up and got out of bed early enough to we could grab a bite to eat while it was still being served...found the tables in lobby area with bagels/croissants/toast and cereal set up, some people (i'm guessing tour groups) were being ushered into another area for their breakfast and then a woman asked us for our tickets for the "complimentary breakfast" apparently not "all" guests are entitled..she said we could go buy tickets for $5 each! no thanks, not for a poor quality breakfast...we went across to the fairview mall and enjoyed good coffee and freshly cooked french toast at Michel's Baguette for the same price
“Not a 3 star Hotel”
This is a tired old hotel that has tried to update itself, but has not succeeded!! Two out of three elevators were out of order.
“Not a 3.5 Star Hotel”
I have stayed at this hotel when it was called the Yorkland. A comfortable hotel, however the restaurant is not under renovations, to me it just looked like there was another reason it was closed, whether waiting for someone to lease it or what I don't know. The last time i stayed there the Fox & the Fiddle was open and was great. Anyone wanting to have a hot meal and a cold one are totally out of luck. Personally I think this hotel should be taken off the list until restaurant is open. Very disappointed because you were forced to pay $40 in cab fares or to drink and drive. Definitely not a 3.5 star.
“ok for the price”
We usually check out very early in the morning between 4 and 5am and we love the fact that this hotel broders the 401 and 404 highways. I am not a big fan of hotel restaurants but it would have been nice for them to advise us that the restaurant is currently closed instead of just putting a poster on the restaurant door.
“Served the purpose quite well for simple overnight, en route”
Arrived suppertime, departed before breakfast. No restaurant at the moment (being renovated). Beds were not truly flat, but I am sensitive to this. No mini-fridge, or beverages; only coffee/tea. Soundproofing from hallway could have been better. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Hotel atmosphere pleasant enough. Has recently changed brand (and ownership?), so may be in transition.
“Great value for a long weekend”
The hotel was good and quiet. They cleaned your rooms everyday early and would bring extras of anything you asked for. Breakfast was the usual and parking was a cheap daily rate. Very clean room. My only complaint was the store in the hotel for snacks didnt have good hours if you wanted to grab a snack
“good value”
As a last minute deal, and 55% off, this was very good!
