“Nicer than I thought”
When I first booked I had a friend tell me it wasn't in the best neighbourhood, however I totally disagree. It was convenient, quiet and I would recommend it again.
“Not going back”
Arrived at 10 pm on a saturday night. Was given a room with unmade beds, garbage all over, used towels and face clothes and no hot water in the shower. Not satisfied with our stay.
“Low performance-price ratio”
No toothbrush, no toothpaste, no slipper, no breakfast.
“Needs some work...”
Not a bad room for the price...but many minor maintenance issues would have made it much better. Cannot beat the location ... and the rooms were quiet for downtown.
“Good value for Toronto”
Very clean and welcoming even thought some renovations were in progress. Easy access to Subway and many downtown attractions within walking distance. Also very handy for the Gay Village, if one is so inclined. A quiet street, "far from the madding crowd".
“Good location, good value”
This hotel is located close to University of Toronto and the Bay Street area, Good value, under ground parking, Clean rooms,
“Nice Average Hotel”
This was a perfect middle of the road hotel to stay at. For the price, I was very happy. Near a subway stop as well as a street car stop. There are several decent places to eat and shopping isn't far. The room was nothing fancy. If you're looking for a top of the line experience, not the place. For me, I was looking for a place to sleep and it was perfect. Small but workable bathrooms. The room was very clean, could use some upgrading. But they did have signs up they were doing some remodeling. They did have parking which was in a protected underground garage. I had a mini-van which barely cleared to door, anything larger and forget about it. Also, I had a little trouble getting out as they had freezing rain over night and it was a steep incline, but that isn't something you would need to worry about very often. If you get a good price and aren't looking for frills, this will do the job.
“Not bad”
In terms of the location of the hotel, room facilities, general tidiness, for the price you pay, it is really good. The only disappointing thing was that the TV wasn't working and it was not fixed during my stay either, although I didn't really need it. Overall, it is a decent hotel to stay.
“Nothing special, but very convenient to where I had to go”
Was disapointed that there was no complimentary breakfast that seems to be standard in other Comfort Inns. It's almost as if "we are downtown Toronto so we don't have to provide that extra benefit"
“central to downtown”
in walking distance to downtown, a couple of blocks, just needed a refrigerator. Was quite, and reasonably priced.
