Thin walls between rooms Had a lamp which was faulty, twice had to request bulb be changed , finally lamp was replaced. Also, wall outlet nearest bed was not functioning. Lack of elevator meant lugging my very heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs.No coffee maker in room , should be a given in hotel rooms these days .

Hotel Sol
Room was small but spent little time in room so it served our purpose. Mattress and pillows were very hard. Room and hotel were clean. Hotel located in good area to get around Toledo.

Excellent location in historic center
The entire process ... location, staff, accommodation ... was superior and more than expected. It is in a dead end with only 3 metered parking spaces, but, having arrived late afternoon, we were fortunate to find a space and pay for the few remaining hours prior to 8 pm after which there was no fee until late the next morning. We did not need the car since we could walk virtually everywhere in this lovely city. Only wish we had had more days to spend in Toledo.

Clean quiet and Cheap
We loved the cleanliness the quietness and the price. We weren't so keen on the fact that entry after 10.30 was by key card and as these are very unreliable we were concerned we wouldn't be able to get in although they did leave you an emergency number. If you are looking for clean, very reasonably priced quiet accommodation 5 minutes manageable climb to the square with no airs and graces then look no further

Nice hotel-terrible internet
I absolutely would have given this hotel a better review if their internet was more reliable. The junior suite room was very nice--big room and clean, with a lovely terrace at a great price. However, not only were you required to sign in to the internet every 30 minutes (which I knew from reading previous reviews and assumed would not be a problem), even when when you were connected to the wifi, everything loaded slowly and both nights that we were there the internet just stopped working after about 11:00pm. Even as a traveler who doesn't use the internet much while on vacation, this caused problems just trying to book out next hotel, looking at train times, and emailing family. Also, while booking the hotel I wasn't very familiar with the layout of Toledo. If I had been, I might have booked a hotel higher up on the hill.

Well situated super staff
Everything about my short stay in Toledo was first class the City itself is amazing, and every aspect of hotel so added to a marvelous experience Great price, spotlessly clean, superb location and easily the most helpful staff I have come across I would highly recommend this hotel

Clean ,comfortable, great location for sightseeing
Excellent for sightseeing approx 5 mins away,room clean and comfortable , a fridge would be good as would a kettle ,having said that we would stay again in the area staff were friendly and helpful

Great Location!
Great location and close walk to all attractions. Toledo is a beautiful place and this hotel met all of our needs, located directly in the heart of the city near the alcazar and amazing views!

4-nite stay/Toledo
Very glad we booked the jr suite as it is in the rear of hotel, making it much quieter than had it been on the front side. Two floors--no lift. Wifi not totally reliable & I was told due to "security", each/every time the service dropped off, had to sign in again with a very long password--must be a better way to handle wifi!

Great hotel, horrible Internet
The hotel is only 12 minutes walk from bus station and 20 minutes from train station. That's pulling luggage not normal walking pace. The staff is friendly. My room was cute and clean with a very nice view. The location is good but I did a fair amount of walking to see the sites. The Internet is horrible. The system kicks you off every 30 minutes or so. I was working on a project and I was frustrating to need to keep relogging in. Also the bathroom smelled like methane. I think it was coming from the pipes so I plugged all the drains which helped with the odor, but it wasn't pleasant.

Tourist-class hotel at a great location
The hotel is located right in the old city of Toledo. It is right by the Sol gate and is five minutes away from the Bisagra gate. The rooms are really clean and recently renovated. The bathroom in the room has a modern equipment, though it is packed somewhat densely. IIRC there is only one floor, but there is no elevator. So if you have trouble getting up stairs make sure you get one of the rooms on the ground floor during booking. The reception is only manned till 10pm, so it can be a problem if you arrive late. There is breakfast, (not included in the room price) though it is really basic. And getting to the parking can be really difficult in a larger vehicle, though the hotel staff is helpful. In short, I think it is a very good deal for the price, but keep in mind the disadvantages listed above.

Beware of the check in policy
Long story short, beware of the check in policy. We had long delays getting to Madrid and were arriving from Canada without cell phone service or wifi connection and could not inform the hotel of our unexpected late arrival. We showed up to the hotel door at 1130pm, after the 11pm last check in, and could not check in or get ahold of the hotel. we used a payphone to call their phone number and only got a generic message. In the morning, we tried to negotiate for the next night and were simply told no. Great start to the trip and a definite 0 for customer service. Definitely do not recommend based solely on the customer service. The hostal puerta de bisagra was very accommodating and we got a great room for cheaper than hotel sol.

Our room was small but perfectly adequate for our needs. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel was right in the middle of the old town so was in easy eslking distance of all yhe sights. We would happily stay there again.

The hotel description was correct and therefore everything was perfect. We asked for a quiet room and that is what we received. The building is old but the interior is modern, the bedroom comfortable and the bathroom spotless. The welcome was friendly. Note that parking in Toledo, on Sundays is free.

Pleasant little hotel just outside the city walls. Secure underground parking (but a bit tight for larger cars). Good location - a short walk up steps into the old town, or a bit longer if you want to use the public escalator.

Located in the heart of the old city, everything is essentially within 5-10 min walking distance. Parking is tricky but staff was kind enough to help. Felt really safe walking in the area. Cheap but nice options available for breakfast.

Small, pleasant hotel close to downtown Toledo
I spent one night in hotel sol. Arriving in early afternoon in a private car,I found the staff very helpful. Parking might be tricky for travelers with large vehicles or less experience in navigating one way streets. Hotel sol is on a dead end street and I did have to reverse a portion of the way. The hotel itself was very nice though I was unaware of an elevator. The room was spacious enough, had very nice views, and was very comfortable. The hotel was minutes from the historic downtown for a fraction of the cost. Would stay again.

The hotel was modest but serviceable. We were pleased that there was parking available from the hotel. The proprietor was able to give us our room early when we arrived and allowed us to wait in the small seating area while it was cleaned. The town is very walkable and easy to find the way around, but very hilly.

Street-facing rooms can be extremely noisy with <very> late-night revelers, especially since there is no AC or ventillation other than the large balcony doors once they declare it fall (notwithstanding the warm, humid temperatures outside). Wi-Fi costs 5E per day and despite the claims, breakfast was not available (fortunately there is a great little spot right up the street). Although its a non-smoking building, the room was soiled by a very strong cigarette odor and butts left on the small balcony.

My fault really. I was expecting quaint. Room was small and a place to rest your head. Hard to find. Internet is $3 Euro's an hour. The front desk person was pleasant. It was close enough to walk everywhere.

For what we paid hotel was amazing. A short walk (though very steep) to the old city where everything we wanted to see was located. They provided a cheap and good breakfast, it was clean, spacious, and it had a good view. I would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel for the price
The hotel is clean and conveniently located. The rooms big for a European hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet. The only issue we had was the internet. I paid for the internet service late in the evening and could not get it to work. I went down to talk to the front desk and it was closed for the night. Overall though a great hotel for the price. I would stay here again.

This is a very good hotel for its 2 star rating and the average guest rating of 4.5 is well-deserved. Very clean and relatively recently renovated. In a quiet street so no noise problems. The neighbourhood is about a 5 min walk from the main square and perhaps 10 from the cathedral and there is a main bus route about 100m away from the hotel although Toledo has a relatively small town centre and walking is a much nicer way to get around. Walkable from the station if you are a keen walker, although taxi or bus would be more sensible on a hot day. There are good, cheap restaurants close by the hotel. If you are on a budget this is very good value.

Close the the old centre -fantastic location
I got a single room at a really convenient rate, clean with a comfy double bed, it's hard to find something better...reception closes at 11 pm
