There is a smell coming from the bathrooms, which maybe from the pipes, that can be overwhelming. Overall cleanliness is good.

The stay went pleasantly well as the capsule was spacious for 2 people. The vicinicity included sleeping pajamas and slippers along with other supplies such as towels, toothbrush etc. It felt safe and the people we met there were very friendly.

Couple’s Experience
The only hire that have a couple capsule. The room is okay and big enough for two, but I won’t recommend more than 1 night stay. Food choices are limited if you are vegetarian or eat chicken. The shower situation is shared... so if you are okay with it then you be fine. They provide shoes, towels, night pjs, toothbrush, lotion and all the other stuff. No WiFi in room just in lobby area.

If you're reading this review than you are obviously considering the capsule experience. I think this is the only hotel that offers a double option. My partner and I had approached this with some small degree of trepidation but in the end the whole experience was quite delightful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the system isn't hard to understand. It's certainly not without it's inconveniences, such as having your luggage in the foyer and bathrooms on different floors, but it really is a quintessential Japan experience and highly recommended for a night. Pyjamas, towels and slippers are provided. Additionally we enjoyed a decent Indian meal in a restaurant on the way from the metro station, followed by a drink at a bar outside the mall across the street, and then watched Deadpool 2 in an almost empty iMAX cinema in the same mall. Sleeping was comfortable and cosy, though obviously not for the claustrophobic. It's also extraordinarily quiet, which is surprising as it is situated under a elevated motorway.

Tired looking hotel
Place is really run down and tired looking. The cabin for couple is exactly the same size as the normal cabin, fits smaller couple. The whole place is clean. The bed is uncomfortable because you can feel the spring of the bed in the center. The bed must have been used for a long time.

Comfortable & Fun Capsule Experience!
My boyfriend and I spent one night in a double capsule and it was surprisingly comfortable. The capsule was spacious enough for us both and all of the facilities were clean. It wasn’t very busy when we stayed so it wasn’t noisy. I would recommend staying here for a fun capsule experience!

Great capsule hotel for couples!
Tokyo Kiba Hotel is the only capsule hotel I could find in Tokyo that had capsules for couples. Wanting to try out a capsule hotel my boyfriend and I stayed one night. It's located a short walk from Kiba station with many restaurants nearby. The front desk staff was very friendly and provided us information regarding our stay in English. You are given a small locker which contains pajamas, towels, and slippers. Luggage is kept near the reception desk. The area is not locked but there is always a staff member present. The double/couple's capsule is located on the 5th floor, which is the same as the women's floor. The men's restroom is on a different floor. The capsule itself was more spacious than expected. Though not the most comfortable, we were still able to get a good night's sleep. We stayed on a weekday and there were few guests on the same floor as us so it was nice and quiet. The women's restroom was nice and clean. I did not take a shower/bath here so I cannot comment on those. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay but likely wouldn't do it again. We mainly stayed for the "experience" of staying in a capsule hotel.

It is a capsule, so similar to a hostel. Not at all soundproof, and the gentleman next to us was SO LOUD. And pillows that felt stuffed with styrofoam. Apart from that as expected!

Capsule experience in Tokyo
By mistake we booked a capsule here - but it was the highlight of our holiday. Kind staff- with enough English, explained the system. Bags in the bag room, locker for hanging clothes, communal bathroom and capsules. As usual in Japan, everything works! Big bathroom has a spa. Girls use the big bathroom In the morning. Boys in the evening. If you are travelling light, this is perfect. PJs, towel, toothbrush- even a hairbrush- provided. The big question- whats it like in a capsule? About 4ft high and wide. Private - with a sense of community- cos you could hear people outside. All mod cons in the capsule- light, power and TV. Comfy pillow and mattress. The hardest part was being organised- capsule on floor 5- shower floor 3- locker and bags on floor 2. Wifi only available on floor 2 also. And it's really close to a subway station - so convenient. Perfect Tokyo stay.

A reasonable hotel to experience Japanese capsules
Certainly NOTHING like the room shown on the web page. And even after saying it seemed almost claustrophobic they did NOT mention till after we checked out that they had larger capsules!!! To upgrade was almost $200 N.Z!!! Free internet- 100 Yen to start, free juice in morning Y200, NOT even 1 teabag /coffee sachet given, even on arrival!! Was cold or hot water though & big supermarket in the nearby shopping mall. Tried to help give directions, but limited english

Great place to stay if you want to experience a capsule with your significant other or any other person. You can hear everything outside your capsule, but I already expected that so it didn't bother me. Good if you're just going to be there for sleep.

Great for travelers
Overall a very positive experience! My roommate and I spent 7 nights during our travels in Tokyo. Every day they provided new bedding, pajamas, slippers, and towels. At nights women had the small shower room and in the morning the big bathroom (for men it was the opposite). I never ended up using the small shower room, but the big bathroom had a jacuzzi and a shared shower room open from 4am-10am. They had nice quality products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving cream, etc), hairdryers, toothbrushes, etc. The workers were always super nice and accommodating. Of course, being a capsule hotel the space was small but the beds were comfortable enough. I would recommend earplugs and sleep mask if you are a light sleeper though, because you can hear absolutely everything in the capsule (so make sure if you stay you are conscientious of other visitors.) There's no wifi in the capsules but the free wifi in the lobby was really good. We never tried their breakfast but there is a family mart close by and also Kiba Station, which was great for all our travels. We would definitely stay again.

Capsule is a capsule.
Polite and helpful staff, plece was clean alright. Expedia or the hotel should mention that the shower is common and open. Also, the hotel must put a big board and inform every single customer when checking in "NO TALKING IN THE CAPSULE FLOOR". On the first early morning at about 5:45am, one guy was waiking his friend so loud as if he owned the floor. There was one other noisy guy the same morning. One idiot is enough to disturb 20 people. Good location, 2 minutes walk to the bus stop and 4 minutes walk to the subway.

Nice location, comfortable enough, great showers
The capsule mattress wasn't great, and it was difficult having our luggage, capsule, and showers on 3 different floors. The shower facilities are excellent and provide you with everything you would need. The location is near the subway and close to a mall with a grocery store, starbucks, fountains/park, and many restaurants.

Clean and quite but very warm room.
No AC in the capsule. To keep privacy, there is a curtain to keep shut which also shuts out any cool air. Bed was comfy enough and capsule area was incredibly quite, but no airflow.

Great experience for what it is
For a capsule hotel, this was great. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful and had basic English. WiFi in the common area was excellent and it was a cosy place to relax or plan your day. Hotel is about a 30second walk from Exit 4b Kiba Station on the Tozai line, just next to the overpass. I would stay there again. The on-site onsen was good too.

Suprisingly Good
I did not have high hopes for this hotel after seeing other reviews, but I personally enjoyed staying here. The staff was very sweet, most of the employees spoke atleast a little English, we also knew a little Japanese so everything went fine. My husband and I stayed in a semi double and found that worked out just fine for us. I was surprised to see that the hotel provided guests with essential things like towels, pajamas, toothbrushes, body and face washes, and shampoos and conditioners. The bathrooms are shared and depending on the time of day switches which gender uses which, and I was nervous about that when I was booking this hotel, but in reality..it wasn't a bad experience. I'd recommend this place to others. Luggage had to be kept at the lobby downstairs, and that was okay by me. It's under constant surveillance and no one is going to steal your stuff, I kept my purse in my capsule with me that held all of the super important stuff anyways. If safety is a huge concern for you, they do have lots of lockers. The capsules are a decent size, comfy enough, just keep in mind that you need to be quiet. It is very easy to hear others and their movements. There is a lobby downstairs if you want to talk or eat those crunchy potato chips with the extra crinkly bag. If you want some romantic time with your partner this is not the place for you.

Perfect for a Short Stay
My wife and I were visiting Japan and this was the our first hotel stay. Since we were just passing Tokyo for the night and needed a place to stay, this was the perfect fit. The capsule is big enough for two people, with some room to spare. The showers are communal so if that's a deterrent for you, then stay away. Overall, we recommend this hotel for anyone who needs a cheap place to stay and won't be staying for an extended amount of time in Tokyo.

Great place to stay! All the workers are so nice and helpful. Wish they had wifi in the capsules, but other than that, I was super happy with everything. Loved the bathrooms, enjoyed my little capsule bed and the pull-down thing for privacy, enjoyed having a locker for stuff and the luggage storage.

Great capsule hotel experience for couples!!
Kiba hotel was perfect for my first time experience staying in a capsule hotel. Hotel was close to Kiba station and my overall experience was great. It was definitely an experience! Be mindful that the bathrooms are separated male and female and they are shared bathrooms. The capsule that partner and I stayed in was comfortable and was actually spacious and it was clean!

This was my first time staying in a capsule. The staff was very friendly, would definitely stay here again, they're a minute from Koto station, good casts curry place just a block away. I walked over to the Contremporary Art Museum, it was about 15-20 minutes away. It's definitely something you should experience should your travels bring you to Tokyo Regards, Mike

Capsule Hotel experience for couples, dated hotel.
{We are a couple (early 40s), adventurous and thrifty travelers, with moderate and realistic expectations of our travel bookings and experiences.} OVERALL EXPERIENCE: First time in Japan, we wanted to experience a Capsule Hotel on our first day of arrival. This is the only one we found that allowed couples. We enjoyed the experience, albeit for one night - would not have spent more time there. Although a unique experience, the overall shape of the hotel felt worn out. ROOM SIZE & CLEANLINESS: Capsules for 2 are spacious enough. I am 6'2", she's 5'1". We had enough space in the capsule. BED COMFORT: The matress was quite springy unfortunately. Not the most comfortable thing we slept on unfortunately. BATHROOM: There are 2 bathrooms: A large bathroom area, with showers and a jaccuzi, and a smaller bathroom with showers only. They have a system where at evenings men use the large bathroom, and in the morning ladies use the large bathroom. STAFF: spoke English, accommodating, friendly. LOCATION: Downtown. Silent enough in the capsules. FOOD: The hotel offers a basic breakfast, but there is a food store + reasonably priced food court just across the street. Some restaurants too, although a bit pricey. WIFI: in the lobby only, but very fast and reliable.

Pretty good capsule hotel
It was nice to have fresh pajamas and towels everyday restocked in our locker provided to us when we checked in. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The only bad thing about our capsule is that it had no AC, so two people in a capsule was a little uncomfortable. The bathrooms and shower rooms were very clean always stocked with feminine hygiene products, tooth brushes, hair brushes and hair products. The only downside to the showers is that you had to share with multiple people. Girls with girls men with men. No curtains or stalls, so everyone could see everything. They also had breakfast each morning you could buy but we never gave it a try. Overall it's a good place to stay if you want to experience the capsule hotels or if you're running low on cash for hotels.
