“Nice Place”
The hotel is located in a very good area close to restaurants and the Plaza Rio shopping center. Upon arrival at the hotel I was greeted by super nice employees and what looked to be a supremely clean lobby. The room was small and quaint, with a small flat screen tv and a nice bathroom. I thought wow, what a great place...until I fell asleep that that night and couldn't get comfortable because the bed was super hard. If you like a hard mattress, then this is the place for you. But if you're like me, and you like a softer mattress, then you might want to reconsider. The bed was hard enough to make me wake up at 6 am on a Saturday morning (when I typically sleep in until 10-ish), but the good thing was that by 7 am the breakfast area downstairs was open for business!
“Very convenient”
they actually have the shuttle service to get you from and to the airport, or any other places within 5miles. And when they are not busy, they'd happy to drive you to some other places as well, as for me, I tried to mail the postcards and asked for the direction of the post office, they were kind enough to drive me there as well :) all you have to pay is a couple dollars tip :)
“Felt At Home”
My daughter and I met up with my brother at the CityExpress, we felt welcomed as soon as we came in. Everyone is so friendly, the room is clean, complimentary breakfast was good, price is great, we will definetly come back and refer our family and friends. We felt as if we were at home.
“Tijuana Hotel”
The staff was friendly. Had a courtesy car that took us wherever we wanted to in Tijuana.

“Great Deal for the money!”
I really enjoyed the stay at City Express. The staff was nice and the Hotel was really clean. I really enjoyed the breakfast because they had very healthy options for the health conscious individual. Overall I would rate this hotel as a 5. They are also very close to Revolution Blvd and that is where all the action a is at. They also have a shuttle that can take you to the border or Revolution Blvd or anywhere you want to go.
“Tijuana”
The hotel is new, which is nice, but is definitely nothing fancy. The lobby as well as the rooms are very "sterile". The beds are like rocks. The continental breakfast provided is adquate, but overall this is great for a one night just need a place to sleep hotel. Except for a small gym, there are no other amenities. No pool or jacuzzi.
“Plain Jane Hotel”
Hotel City Express is your very basic hotel with no frills. Visited during the week of June 11th had no problems whatsoever. Arrived 4 hours early before offical check in time and was given a room right then and there. Everyone one there was very helpful and attentive. Rooms are very small....kept on bumping into bed and furniture. AC unit worked great not noisy as I thought I might be. Water pressure from the shower was good, toilet excellent and sink was perfect. 8-10 Viewable television channels on a small LCD screen. Ethernet connection and wireless provided but very slow during the evening hours...nothing over 100kbps. 'Continental Breakfast' provided but not the best. Small dining area, usually crowded in the morning but clears up after 9am. Overall the hotel is very clean. OXXO convenience store a block away without encountering major traffic. Must sign up to use curtesy shuttle van of hotel. Fills up quickly. No refrigerators provided. Very simple and basic for ones who are on a budget. I'd stay again.
“Convenient and safe”
I went to Tijuana for US visa stamping. ASC is within 1 KM to the hotel but consulate is far. Hotel shuttle service dropped me at both places. Pros: Cost, Location, Shuttle service, Complimentary breakfast, proximity to shopping center and restaurants. Allowing early checkin and 1 PM checkout are added advantages. Cons: Hotel restaurant doesn't have veggie choices, and they take time to deliver food. Grinbin a good sandwich place and 7/11 are next to hotel. Subway and Dominos are within 1 KM and walkable. Air conditioner makes noise, seems to be old. Bath outlet smells at times, looks like maintenance problem.
