Spent 4 nights here as final leg of 3 week stay in India. Hotel is very conveniently located: short tut tut rides to museum, art gallery, temples, specialist shopping markets. Twenty minute ride to the most beautiful beaches! Staff very helpful with advice re directions and prices to pay taxis and tut tuts. Start day with breakfast buffet with great choice of cooked dishes or fresh fruits, sightsee all day, back for refreshing dip in beautifully clean and refreshing rooftop pool, eat in (recommend great value buffet evening meal) or eat out - the city offers great choice and feels friendly when wandering about.
Had a great stay here with my family during a recent vacation to Kerala. The rooms were clean and very modern. We had to change a room due to the smell of smoke, but the staff was very accommodating and handled the room change without an issue. No mosquitos, bugs, or anything that would make you feel like you were in India once you're inside the hotel.
The Residency Tower is centrally located in Trivandrum. We arranged an airport pick-up through them, which did seem a bit expensive but on the other hand, our very professional and courteous driver was there to meet us, and the pick-up went very smoothly. The hotel also arranged a driver to take us to the Padmanabhapuram Palace the next day and to take us on to our next destination the day after. I believe the rates were reasonable. The driver was also friendly, and the car was very clean. As for the hotel, it too was very clean--both the public areas and our room. We had a "double room king bed" and it was huge--almost like a suite. There was a whole sitting area in addition to the bedroom area. The bed itself was very firm (which we like) and everything about the room was spotless. We ate meals at both hotel restaurants, and the food was uniformly good. (Neighborhood restaurants, by comparison, seemed a bit sketchy, though we did have lunch at one of them and it was decent and quite inexpensive.) But the very best thing about the Residency Tower was the staff. They were as warm and friendly and helpful as can be imagined. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
Very pleasant/ easy stay. Everything worked and the service was good (for that level of hotel). For the price, it is good value for money. More of a business hotel than for tourists. But i was on transit before flying the next morning, so no issue. Very happy there is hot water (luxury in India). Only negative point when price of airport transfer changed when the taxi arrived and the hotel staff just shrugged.
I was traveling from Airport to hotel by taxi and the taxi driver find it difficult to locate the Hotel. I was vorried but latter the friendly staff and the owner Dr Rajan made us to feel as living with our family. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone want to take rest and away from city environment
I stayed for nine nights and enjoyed it throughout. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel was quiet though it was in the center of the city. My room was cleaned each day, with fresh towels, etc. The dining room was always clean, the staff helpful, and the food was excellent. There is a buffet for lunch and dinner with several very good dishes to go along with rice or breads.
The capital city of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram is located on the southwestern coast of India. Set between mountains and the Arabian Sea, the city is filled with museums, galleries, temples, and the bustle of modern urban life. Beautiful sandy beaches provide relief in the hot, tropical climate and they are frequented by tourists.
