Excellent place for sports enthusiasts.
Excellent place for sports enthusiasts. Whether you are into tennis, pilates, biking or swimming, you will find it all here! The food at Booster Bar/Divine Restaurant is good -- we did not get bored during 1 week stay. I would only wish there would be another place to have dinner on the Hotel side (so there is no need to go back to main building to have a dinner).

Awesome property for a sports gateway with absolutely all the sports amenities you can think of. This is a fantastic place if you are looking for a healthy retreat. The gym was huge, multiple tennis courts, a spa with sauna and hammam...It was great for a few days

Facilities are nuce but place definitely needs a bit of maintenance and renovation. Scenery is great, people are very friendly and coaches are great especially Jay and Amhara. Booster restaurant is too expensive though…Overall it’s a very nice place and staff is very friendly.

Absolutely perfect. We began each day with a great 3k run around the track, then tennis clinic and almost all the other options. Great to be around a fit community too and to connect with great people from around the world.

A place to build a better life
The facilities here are top notch and are designed for the sport enthusiast. It is a training junkie's paradise. There is essentially nothing here to distract you from some serious training. I can't wait for my 4th visit.

The sports facilities are impressive. However the maintenance is to be desired. There is tiles that are cracked in the bottom of the 25m pool . The rooms are not as clean esp in the bathroom and towels are not changed even though I put it in the shower floor to show that it needs to be changed. The staff are not really that friendly. Food is limited. If you go to the hotel as an athlete to train it may work but as a hotel guest they need to step up their game.

Only for athletes and gym buffs!!!
If you are not a diehard gym or healthnut, this place is it for you. This place is in the middle of rubber tree farms. I was sooo bored out of my mind. The biggest issue comes from the fact I want to cancel my reservation a week out, and this hotel wouldn’t let me without losing 100% money.

Great Resort - Loved the Tennis
Fantastic accommodation, clean and modern set in pretty gardens. We did the 5 day tennis package here and the coaching was second to none. Make sure you bring enough clothes, it gets really humid in Thailand. All the staff were beyond friendly and couldn't do more to help. The massages at the spa are a must, the staff really know what they're doing. Food limited but the Asian selection was delicious.

Wow, just wow. If you are looking for a sporty, active holiday with all the comforts... look no further. Just being in an environment with triathlon teams training, young athletic promises, travelers who want to jumpstart a more healthy living, expats who live in Phuket and sweat it out in the afternoon or locals who enjoy their football or beach volley makes you smile at life. Surrounded by naturr, eith a professional and super friendly hotel staff, this is THE PLACE to be. Be sure to take Jay’s Muay Thai lesson and Beer’s Bootcamp! Awesome classes. We stayed in the Garden Wing and it was so peaceful (except if you don’t like the sound of frogs!). Excellent service and wonderful sports, we were regenerated! One thing we might suggest is putting a dryer for clothes in the Garden Wing :) Also - the food! Quite excellent!

Nice peaceful focused environment
It is a health and sports resort with very good facilities. People looking for such options should definitely consider this place. Very nice, quiet, peaceful resort. The food is also unique as its mostly healthy food and also very tasty. Only downside is that outside the resort, there is no life and one has to take expensive taxi rides to go to places which can be 20 minutes to 1 hour ride depending on where one wants to go. There are no food options though after 10 PM except a wending machine

I was hesitant at first as the location seemed away from the main stream. The location is absolutely spectacular. This is a world class facility operated by professional people. There were three national teams training for the period we were there.Despite this he two pool deck coaches went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The facility is huge with a lot of extras included in the cost effective room rate. The food offering was exceptional with many options. The room was big and immaculately cleaned. If your into Triathlons, swimming(we went as open water swimmers) or fitness in general you wont be disappointed. We will be going back with the rest of the family.

This hotel have is fully equipped but for a sports hotel, the gym is considered small, track is dated cause there are some pot holes on it, tennis court is ok, pool table is terribly misused, swimming pool is super freezing cold and classrooms are good. Rooms are clean but a bit dated, no bath tubs even for pool facing units. Nothing to see or eat outside the hotel, food is a bit overly priced, but presentation is good. Buffet lunch n dinner, could have changed alittle each day, but filled only w carbs n nothing much, desert is pathetic and not tasty at all. Be ready to spend alot on food if u dont intend to go out at all. Classes that they provide could have been better, only hiit, yoga, spin. So staying there for 10 days can be draggy, the only time we enjoyed are our morning runs, out in the open plantation fields. The AC system in the rooms really need an overhaul, there is a musty sweaty smell in the room itself during the day, we have to turn off the AC in order not to smell the pungeant smell, it smells like urine left over night. Cleaning staff were really nice, so are the dining staff. receptions are friendly too. Pls consider renting ur car before u reached phuket cause we had prob renting at the airport. There r flickering lights in the cabinets but since we r not using it. we choose to ignore it. TV Channels are better than other hotels, but mostly in THai even for the kids channel. I'm surprised no discounts given to hotel guest for food.

Fantastic Facilities
he Thanyapura Sports Hotel is the gateway to a fantastic facility. I came here to train and it was an exercise junkies paradise. The pool is fantastic, the water sparkling and clean. There are two very well equipped gyms adjacent to the pool and for some cross training there is the athletics track as well. There is also an enormous range of dry land classes which do not cost extra as they are included in the accommodation package. I will certainly be returning. The restaurant serves a fantastic buffet style breakfast and dinner can be either a la carte or buffet. There was always plenty of fresh salads and fresh fruit to incorporate into any athletes dietary requirements. I arrived healthily sceptical and left a fan of the hotel and sports facilities. There was easy access to sports massage services and even ice baths to assist in post training recovery. I'll be back and will be trying to bring a few more with me.

Tennis heaven in Asia
My wife and I chose this hotel specifically for the tennis program they offer. Overall, it was a very satisfying trip where we've got what we were looking for essentially. We are two tennis lovers that were seeking to improve certain parts of our games/skills and the tennis program Thanyapura offers was the major selling point of the hotel. The hotel complex itself has a variety of option for different types of athletes (i.e. swimmers, cyclers, cross fitters, etc.) and the sports facility are top-notch. There are also variety of classes in swimming/muay thai/tennis/yoga/weightlifting that accommodate even for the beginner-levels. Although the hotel is very clean and things could be arranged very efficiently most of the times, there were small drawbacks that could easily leave an adverse impression against the hotel. For example, our pre-arranged pick-up at the airport was quite late and we had to wait for the pick-up manager for 30 mins at the exit gate. It didn't help that the guy point blankly lied to us that he was at another gate for all that time when in fact I have checked the whole airport to check if anyone was there with the sign board of the hotel. When we talked about this at the reception, there weren't much of an adequate respond to our concern. It's a great place for tennis players with great quality coaches and facilities. We are thinking about paying a visit again in a year or so.

Great hotel in Phuket
Great hotel. It's in the middle of nowhere and not near a beach at all so be prepared to hang out there. They have so much to do just at the hotel it's unbelievable. All the classes are free. We went to meditation and it was wonderful. Fresh, Salsa, and Aun were very kind and helpful to us!

Great active stay
Great get away for active people. Amazing facilities on site that you can use (gym & swimming pool) The site is however away from everything else and so it will mean a taxi ride there and back. Restaurant has a good range of food but overall we felt overpriced (dinner). Kinda to be expected in a premium destination. Hotel staff are very good and attentive.

my weeks stay at Thanyapura
As a solo traveller to Thanyapura I was slightly apprehensive about the experience however the staff made you feel comfortable by always chatting to you and gave lots of advice. The facilities were top class and you felt there was lots of room to move across the large campus. I enjoyed tennis lessons with Roger and attended numerous yoga sessions where the instructors really stretched you.The menu at the restaurant was outstanding and the options were broad. Overall a great week that I would defiantly do again.

Great Hotel near Phuket airport
Overnight stay before our flight to Bangkok. This hotel is 10km (6 miles) from the airport and offers a car to the airport for $15 US. The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant has a large selection of excellent food. The room was well decorated and well laid out with a large closet and a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed our 1 night stay.

A true paradise for sports fanatics
The tag line of Thanyapura is "train in Paradise" so as a sports fanatic I was coming to thanyapura with high expectations. The experience we had over there was absolutely fantastic. Thanyapura is like a hidden paradise for sports fanatic. It offers world-class sports facilities and you feel inspired training amongst professional athletes but you can also enjoy the very peaceful environment of the place. My girlfriend is not Sport mad like me but still, she didn't want to leave neither. Besides the wow sport factor, the services was great, the food at Divine restaurant was amazing and the Sport Hotel was very enjoyable. Also, the place was not packed so we really felt like being in a world-class exclusive country club. Prices are higher than the typical Thai resort however it's totally reasonable for the level of experience you will get. We can't wait to go back there and hopefully for longer this time...
