Mostly Nice - With Negatives- A one off for me
It was pleasant overall, however the beds way too hard, caused us both hip ache. Beautiful setting and gardens, but let themselves down as you walk into hotel, they have dark wall ahead with bland restaurant behind that was like a empty store room, it used this to exit and enter to the pool and it totally spoils the lobby/ground floor of the beautiful building, a truly bizzare design decision? Our hot tub didnt work properly and the engineer didn't seem to care to sort it, our toilet cystern dripped our entire stay despite telling them on arrival and we had to change the fridge day 1 as that didn't work either, the towel rail was not secured to the wall which I also advised day 1, again they did nothing. The thing that grated me the most personally was not being able to get a draught beer, they only sell small bottles!? The lunch by the pool is more 'a la carte', when in reality for a summer 'by the pool' lunch, I'm sure most people would prefer a salad or a sandwich or arguably more relaxed lunch time options. The pool staff were not well equiped/trained, if in the height of tourist summer trade, in a typical family resort, and if you charge £200 + pn, then you need to make sure your staff are on point and offer great service, and selfishly I think they should be able to at least communcate the basics in English as this is the language that most europeans can mutally understand. Overall it wasnt bad, but I wont go back.

We booked the triple room for a 3 night stay - upon walking into the ground floor room we were treated by: • a chenille sofa that was nearly 20 years old • bathroom fixtures that bordered on the franco era • zero internet / mobile coverage. • there is only a half window in the very dark bedroom and zero privacy in the sitting area due to this room being located next to the housekeeping closet as well as overlooking the sidewalk and pool access. IT WAS GRIM. we requested a change in room and were downgraded to a double room in the slightly newer side of the hotel. a refund for the difference in room was not given. instead when my husband went to check out he was asked to pay again for what was a prepaid room. while we were driving home and discussing the trip we discovered the mistake. i called back immediately to clear up the double charge - no one answered. • later that day (Monday) i called again and was told they would look things over. Monday evening i called with expedia and when they spoke to the hotel the hotel assured Expedia a reversal would be out through for the erroneous extra charge. • i called Tuesday twice - at one point was told the “accountant” that handles refunds was not in. • it is now Wednesday and no refund has been forthcoming. the staff at the hotel are very nice and i suspect this is a management issue. in addition to the rooms, the restaurant food was mediocre at best despite decent reviews.

Great Stay
I had a great time at the Swiss Hotel Moraira. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the area and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. 4 stars for the hotel, 5 stars for the staff!

Very nice public areas in the hotel but the rooms are dark and "old". Feels like a basement even if it's not. No outlets to charge the phone unless unplugging a lamp.

Quiet hotel in moraira
Large but Outdated rooms that need refurbishing. Pillows that seem 1000 years old. The breakfast room is in the basement without windows and only 6 tables for 2 people outside, so people are waiting for you to finish eating breakfast. Check your bill as on mine they didn’t deduct the 60€ warrantee you pay for the pool towels. The hotel is quiet.

Felt like a luxurious hotel on arrival but bedrooms did not appear to have had the same attention to detail as the communual areas. Mattresses were hard, pillows lumpy, no mini bar, air con not adequate. The pool was not heated and freezing cold. No staff easily available. Every time at bar, we had to walk to reception to ask for bar staff

A very relaxing hotel that excels with the friendliness of its staff. Nothing was to much trouble. The hotel itself is looking a little tired but is spotlessly clean. Great pool are.

Tasteful and classy hotel
The hotel is beautiful, inside and out. Very tasteful interiors, oozing with class. The pool area is especially attractive. It was quite quiet when we visited, which only added to the sense of peace and tranquility. Highly recommend

Classy, tranqul and relaxing spot in Moraira
Beautiful hotel in a tranquil spot, in a quiet residential part of Moraira. Probably best to have a car, even to get down to the beach and the centre, there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance, but to explore further afield will require transport. Mind you, we would quite happily have stayed by the pool and at the hotel all day relaxing, feeling pampered and luxuriant.

Boutique hotel in Moraira
This is a boutique hotel in a quiet area, a few kilometers away from central Moraira. You need a car/taxi as there are no restaurants or shops in the area. Relatively old, but cosy. Very friendly service. Swimming pool in a garden with many trees.

Relaxing Location
Stayed for 1 night to celebrate a friends birthday. Room was very comfortable with an excellent shower. A good range of breakfast items both hot and cold on the buffet. A. Good size pool. Hotel in a quiet peaceful location but with good access to the town of Moraira and the beach.

QUIET LOCATION, VERY RECCOMENDABLE
Very good, quiet location, good for walking if you like hills, steep hills!! Food was good and well laid out and the staff were very helpful and obliging, had problem with balcony chairs but was sorted quickly after showing my displeasure. I got the impression that this hotel do not like bookings through Expedia and would prefer to deal direct

We were very impressed with our room and the public rooms but the breakfast wasn't great, the food on the continental table looked inviting but in order to get toast we had to try and find how to work the toaster as there wasn't a member of staff in the dining room for the first ten minutes, it was too dark to see the flavours of the many varieties of tea and as we were short of time we had to make do with a very insipid cup of tea. we were disappointed that we didn't have tea or coffee making facilities in our room

Smart hotel in hills above Moraira
Warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Very smart and comfortable superior double with access to pool. Décor somewhat dark so needed more lighting in room. Very efficient and friendly staff. Restaurant declared fully booked on arrival and prospect of 20 minute walk in dark or drive into downtown not appealing after long journey. Receptionist saved the day by offering room service which was fine. Excellent food overall 9 out of 10.

Location is a little away from the town and coast. the hotel has very nice facilities overall, with good breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Pleasant pool surroundings, also used for dinner in the evening. Good spa and excellent massage. The rooms are quite dark.

Very nice on the whole. Had to change room after first night as Shower base was broken and water leaked into the reception area. A bit inconvenient, but hotel sorted it efficiently. Throughout the hotel the staff was very polite and friendly. Nice rooms with large terrace. Great breakfast. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay.

Its a 10 euro taxi into town, which is the only drawback. Other than that, this hotel is excellent. Food, service and fit out are all great. Have already booked to go back when I am next in Moraira.

Fantastic Stay
We had originally scheduled just two nights at the Hotel Swiss Moraira, and then had a change of plans - twice. As we changed our reservations, adding a day on the front and two more on the end, they accommodated us very graciously and efficiently, both over the phone and in person. We loved our room and the quiet atmosphere of the hotel. A wonderful place to get away from a very busy life-style. We hope to return soon! The only thing that seemed out of place was a $1.00 per glass charge for ice cubes. Not what I expected for a hotel of this level and class. Other than that - wonderful!

lovely place
Very tranquil setting , nice pool area and lovely suburban location . Fifteen minute walk to the town of Moraira , a car is necessary generally . Onsite parking is great as is the breakfast buffet . Rooms are a bit bland , but they are in the local style and are clean and adequate . The staff are great , from Isabella by the pool restaurant to the owners we were made very welcome .

Beautiful Location
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was spoilt by the very poor WiFi connection which in this day an age is unacceptable. Also we were told that the restaurant was closed with a kitchen problem when they had in fact lost their Chef. Not good PR!!.
