“Mixed Feelings”
The staff were very pleasant, helpful and efficient and the service they provided was without fault. The cleaning staff kept the room very clean and tidy, maintenance dealt with any requests quickly and efficiently and the desk staff were always pleasant and very helpful. The rooms themselves are very spacious. The condition of the hotel itself was disappointing however. The carpets in the corridors and public areas were old, dirty and did not smell too pleasant. The rooms while spacious were in serious need of renovation and repair. The furniture was old, battered and in the case of the chairs and couch cushions, dirty/stained. The kitchen units were very old and not in perfect working order and many of the electrical sockets within the apartment were broken. It basically boils down to the hotel in need of some money spent on bringing it up to better repair and standard. The building itself is in excellent shape and the general interior is in very good repair but the soft furnishings and furniture are in serious need of replacement/repair. Some new furniture, carpets and a good once over in every room to repair/replace broken lights, sockets, appliances, etc and this would be a very sought after hotel.
“Okay for a week!”
The apartments were very spacious and basic but comfortable to meet needs. However, you had to pay 3 euro's per day to watch television, and none of which were in English. The hotel had no WIFI and had not much to offer in terms of activities. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely and was what we expected.
