“Kindness in Action”
I booked this property on the fly and ended up with a true find. If you are in the area you will find this establishment to be way more than you expeceted. They were extreamly kind, helpful and went over and above any expected customer servcie guidelines. They were personal and helped this traveler and his family have a gerat stay.
“Fantastic hotel!”
What a find! Was much more than expected after a dissapointing stay in Taos. Room was great with a huge jacuzzi, extremely clean, nicely furnished - but spa was even better. Great steam & sauna & both indoor & outdoor hot tubs were immaculate! Staff was friendly & very helpful- will definately return. Only drawback was bathroom area has partial walls - they are open at top of ceiling to rest of room - so there is little privacy when taking care of business - a bit odd in an otherwise very romantic room.

Very friendly staff. Great amenities. Sauna,spa, hot pool, hot tubes everywhere. Great views.
“Beautiful place!”
Very small room but did enjoy our stay. No air conditioning so room was toasty. We did have a fan so that helped. Loved the decor of the lodge and the friendliness of the staff.
“Must pay extra for quality”
We stayed two nights at Chipeta. The first night was 'interesting' as it felt like we were rooming with strangers. We got a tiny room with paper thin walls, squeaky bed, not even a radio in there let alone a t.v. Second night upgraded to the other building for privacy - this was well worth it!! Great big comfy bed, awesome view from the hot-tub on the balcony - only downside There Is No Ceiling Over The Bathroom!! it goes directly over to the bedroom.
“Nice place, not what you'd call overstaffed”
Great setting, nice comfortable room, well-appointed with very nice view of the mountains. Free cookies, lemonade, etc. in the afternoon. All in all, a very peaceful, nice place to get away. But, man, good luck finding anyone who works there when it's time to check in or out, or, really, most of the time period. Not a place for anyone who needs a lot of hand-holding or service from hotel staff.
“Not at all what I expected.”
I you prefer a overpriced small room, with no TV Or air conditioning, this is the place for you. Once we got our luggage in the room, there was no place to walk. The shower head sprayed water on the ceiling and I had to fix it before taking a shower. It was close to the downtown area and locals were great but will I stay here again, nope!
