“Classy hotel in the centre of ton”

Beautifully refurbished bauhaus cinema turned into civilized hotel bang in the centre of toen. A terrace bar on the fourth floor gives fine views. You can walk nearly everywere. Friendly reception. Bedrooms well-equipped but compact.

“Excellent value for boutique center city hotel”

Conveniently located at base of Dizengoff Circle, hotel has transformed legacy as old movie theater into charming theme for relatively small hotel. Samples of old movie equipment are prominently displayed in common spaces on each floor, and classic films of Laurel and Hardy, Charley Chaplin, etc. are continuously shown on screen in lobby, where popcorrn is also available at front desk. Other vintage aspects of the original movie theater have also been preserved in common areas. More significantly, the staff was very helpful with of our numerous requests, such as restaurant recommendations, location and hours of pharmacies we needed on emergency basis, calling taxicabs, holding our luggage before/after we checked in/ out. They had a good knowledge of the area and showed genuine attitude to be helpful. There is also a generous and appealing complimentary breakfast as well as a complimentary happy hour each day of wine, lemonade and assorted munchies to be enjoyed leisurely on a roof terrace. Within a few blocks on Dizengoff Street are several popular restaurants/bistros and grocery stores, as well as many apparel and other shops. The only shortfall is the compact space in the rooms, which is to be expected in this kind of hotel in a center city location. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. “Right hotel, right location”

Friendly receptionists, helpful and polite. Room clean and tidy. Location for walking to centre of Tel Aviv good, with places to eat nearby too. Parking available securely at back of hotel. Nice terrace. Good breakfast. Bauhaus hotel is a nice example of this type of architecture.

“A fabulous find”

A fabulous find: a hotel from the 1930s, sympathetically rennovated, with original projectors and film paraphenalia on every Terrific location, good sized modern rooms, nice terrace to look out over Tel Aviv, great breakfast and free wifi a bonus. I would highly recommend the Hotel Cinema to anyone.

“Great hotel in the middle of Tel Aviv”

They do have valuable, free parking, but it's very tight and might take a while to get your car in and out. Just plan for it.

“A stunning hotel in a beautiful city”

This is a really unique hotel. The building is truly stunning - a beautifully restored Bauhaus cinema with lots of preserved cinematic equipment on display. It's the first time I have ever checked into a hotel and been able to watch a silent movie at the same time! It is clearly a very well managed establishment, and the staff were polite and helpful. There is a lovely roof terrace dotted with tubs of shrubs and flowers and lying there in the morning sun with views of Tel Aviv (such an elegant city) all around, was magical. In the evening drinks and nibbles are provided on the terrace free of charge. The breakfasts were excellent and the dining room and other commumal areas tastefully decorated. It's in a fantastic location about five mintes walk from the beach and very close to shops and good eating places and within easy reach of all the other delights that the city has to offer.

“Cinema lover”

I was traveling with my 79-year-old Dad, who loved the projectors. I loved the building, the staff and having a great cinema across the square. The hotel could do with somewhere nice to collapse in the evening, but there are so many bars within a block that it's not a great problem.

“Cinema Hotel - Tel Aviv”

Nice place to stay, outside of the corporate cookie cutter hotel chains. Cinema Hotel is a restored movie theater with links to its past. Old projectors and a b&w movie playing in the lobby greet you on check in. Free breakfast buffet is a big plus and a business lounge provides some munchies and refreshments after work hours. Only disappointment was the timid jacuzzi and blast furnace sauna in the spa. Rooms were good and free internet is a big plus for those of us tired of being ripped by hourly internet fees.

“art deco hotel in tel aviv”

A cool boutique hotel in Tel Aviv in a central good location close enough to the beach...about a ten minute walk...and close to the main shopping areas....free parking....my one problem...they chose FOX instead of CNN for the English news coverage on TV.. if you're a right winger you're in luck...I'm not.
