"Handy location."
Stayed 5 nights and was very pleased with our decision to stay at this hotel. Our room was comfortable, however, noise from the corridor and the room above was noticeable from time to time. Our timing was somewhat unfortunate as it coincided with school holidays so the swimming pool was filled with children. The hotel provides a shuttle bus into Georgetown and to the night market at Feringghi, however the local bus passes the front door and is very cheap - just make sure you have lots of small change (2RM to either spot).

"Adequate accommodations for the traveling family"
This property, while adequate to our needs, felt due for a refurbishing. Service was not equal to expectations, with copious staff frequently present but disengaged (or disinterested). As a case in point, on four successive mornings, I unsuccessfully attempted to coach two kitchen staff members in the preparation of an "over-easy" egg (of which they had apparently never heard before my arrival). My impression was that these hapless fellows had been drafted into this "egg-station" duty without the least instruction. Another representative annoyance: reception gave us three adult breakfast vouchers per day at check-in, intending that these should cover breakfasts for 2 adults + 2 children. It seemed a reasonable solution, since children are charged one-half of the adult price; however, every morning we had to endure multiple questions, demands for payment, even exhaustive explanations of their own reception policy at our table. Similar confusions were encountered when attempting to secure spa and massage treatments on site; the right hand definitely did not know what the left hand was doing. Stinging ants in the beach area, and aggressive mosquitos in the pool area threatened to ruin our stay. Highlights include a lovely beach area (but for the ants!), and friendly concierge (Maria). A shuttle is available to guests for one-way trips into Georgetown; you're on your own for the return.

"Quirky"
Quirky, interesting features throughout the place. Money very well spent as it goes towards the school that they run for special needs. A bit out of the way from anything. Best to hire a car to go around, after all, it is an island. Mostly Asian breakfast so come expecting that. Would be ideal to bring your own conditioner as there is none, only shampoo, bath gel and towels given. If you like your room clean, you would need to request for it. Friendly staff, great environment, plenty of pictures to take. Every corner you turn, something quirky.

"Got what we paid for"
We stayed for 3 nights during CNY. Our room was spatious, with 2 large king size beds, furnished with some old-looking Chinese-looking cabinets (I am no art historian) and a club chair. It would be good to have some chairs and a table in the room as well. The room was a little bit too dusty but otherwise reasonably clean, above asian standard - bed linen and towels were clean, white and not washed out. Bathroom was clean and basically ok, except that the sink had a leak but it was located in the shower (don't understand this concept at all but it is apparently common in this part of the world) so it didn't represent a major problem because the leaked water just went off through the shower drain. We would appreciate to have a board or some shelves around the sink in order to have a place for all our tooth brushes, toothpaste, deodorants, etc. Also a facility for drying swimsuits would be helpful. Our room (Lilac) didn't have a balcony and the view was to a messy yard. On the 3rd floor there is a terrace with a nice view to the near "floating mosque" and to the sea. Every morning we got waken up by the praying from the mosque but the guy was singing really well and in tune, not like where we live... Breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee/milo, a toast, a bit of butter, a sausage, and a scrambled egg. Simple, good, tasty and enough to start your day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated a few meters from the sea and you can reach the shore from the yard

"Very spacious 1 bedroom apartment, with seaviews. "
This was a self-catering, fully contained 1 bedroom apartment, it was very spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was very close to Gurney Plaza but we had to take a taxi there each time. There was a street 'foodcourt' close by too. The room was quiet, except every day at 5.45am and 4.45pm, right next door, there were loud Muslim prayers that went on for 2-3 minutes each time..
