“Good value”
Tight parking, friendly front office girl, no problems at all bedson rollers made for s fun night of drinking
“dorm style hotel”
reminded me of the "Bates Motel" needs a ton of updating, even though the price was up there, thought it would of been a better deal for the condition of the place.clean enough, could of been worse. nothing to do there, just stayed for location, wish expedia would of steered us in a different direction. Awesome place for breakfast up the street :-)
“Convenient to Convention Center, cheap, small”
Smallest and tightest room I ever stayed in, bathroom could be cleaner--it, too, is very small. Facial tissue not included; I had to buy some at a local food store. At least the kitchenette was clean with ample refrigerator space and kitchen utensils. Office staff person very friendly on phone. On site person indifferent; on cell phone when he delivered hair dryer that had to be requested. Parking lot generally full early in evening with no directives where to park other than to try to find street parking. Highlights of this hotel: it's cheap and it's an easy drive without traffic jams to Convention Center and downtown Tampa. Also close to bar scene of Hyde Park.
“Not Impressed”
When we arrived we were greeted by what appeared to be a drunken homeless man. We tried to check in, the door was lock and we had to push a button that dialed the owners phone. No one answered and we had to leave a message. 2 hours later, no one had called back. We called agin with no answer again. We finally dialed expedia, got disconnected and had to call back. We finally got back in touch with Expedia who got the owner on the phone and told us the combination of the lock on the front door of the hotel to get it opened and then we walked up to the 2nd floor and there was another combination to open a key box with the room key. There were no hotel employees on site. The bed was very uncomfortable and sunk in the middle. I don't know if anyone would ever have called us if Expedia hadn't gotten in touch with the owner. I told Expedia that they should not do business with this hotel any longer because of they way they do business and how poorly they handle check in.
