“Not bad for the price”

The only complaint I have would be that the bathroom counter space was very limited.

“Excelled at Service”

The entire hotel staff were excellent. The Front Desk Staff proactively serviced us by making restaurant reservations, dispatching the Shuttle for our use (including going to Publix), and giving us lots of information. The hotel was full due to a conference at the convention center and everyone we talked with felt well cared for and special. The hotel restaurant staff were very personable and helpful. They were attentive to our dining needs and friendly. Checkout was easy and parking was available at the hotel. It was a pleasant experience and I will stay there again when attending events in Tampa.

“Pleasantly Suprised”

After reading all the reviews regarding this property, I will admit, I was a little apprehensive. However, I was gonna give it a shot, it was downtown, on the river and the rates were much cheaper than anything else in the area. Upon arrival, the check in was fairly quick, there is an affordable shuttle service to and from the airport, as well as a nice little restaurant, and a complimentary shuttle provided by the hotel that would take you anywhere in a 2 mile radius. The shuttle drivers as well as the rest of the staff that I interacted with were all really nice and helpful. The beds were really comfy, and the rooms were very clean, housekeeping did come every day, and I had no problems with hot water as stated in several of the other reviews. I will definitely keep this property in mind next time I travel to Tampa.

“"Great Hotel"”

When I arrived at the hotel my check in was quick,friendly and efficent. There was high speed internet access which was great for keeping in touch with home by e-mail. They have a great hot and cold buffet breakfast. Their location to the Saint Petes Time Fourm was great if like me you would like to take in a Tampa Bay Lighting game while in florida.

“More than we bargained for”

We were definitely satisfied with Howard Johnson during our stay. Originally we booked the hotel because it was close to the event we were attending and much less expected than staying in the on-site hotel. We did not expect the free shuttle the hotel provided which made it much easier to get to and from the event rather than paying to park or walk. The staff at the hotel was great as well and very friendly. Checking in and out was very easy as well.

“Great HoJo”

The entire staff was very accomodating especially Clark, the courtesy van driver. The property was clean and had excellent services.Though a little hard to find initially, overall, I would stay again and I highly recommend this hotel.

The stay at your hotel was very enjoyable. The service was excellent and I would very mucy redommend a stay as Howard Johnson as a good choice. I don't write reviews often but I am glad to do this short review.

“Had a good stay”

I really enjoyed the hotel. It had everything we would look for in a hotel. If you're looking for a place to stay for a few days in downtown Tampa, the Howard Johnson is the best place to stay.

Hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The Hotel staff was very helpful and cordial. The hotel shuttle service was an added benifit getting around Tampa.
