good hotel near airport

Pros: Proximity to airport but without noise. Car parking very convenient. Free wi-fi was effective.
A very convenient hotel for Tampa airport - only about 5 minutes from rental car pickup. Hotel has good restaurant for breakfast, reasonable fitness facility and basic ' business center' with 2 desktop computers for internet with printing. Room air conditioning was not very effective on arrival but maintenance changed the unit out within 30 minutes and fixed the problem.

Close to the airport

We had an early flight so wanted to be close to the airport. This was close, convenient, and well priced. I thought I'd hear planes all night, but we didn't. Very nice for our purpose.

Convenient but needs help

Cons: Give maintenance team what they need to fix problems!
Temperature control did not work on the air conditioner. Maintenance apologized but could not fix it. Had to put chairs and a blanket up in front of the air conditioner (old below window style) to keep cold air from blowing on us all night! Set a 0530 wake-up call on the "automated" system. Never received the call and could have missed a 0730 plane!!! When checking out, found out that the "automated" wake-up call system is a recorder which someone at the front desk must listen to and write down in a book and make the calls....so much for "automation"!!!

nice, clean hotel close to the airport

Stayed here after a cruise out of tampa port. Needed to be close to the airport for an early flight. The hotel offered free shuttle to airport which was a plus. We missed the shuttle at 5am and were worried we would be late but another one came 15 minutes later. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient hotel close to TPA

Pros: Definitely like dinner menu at Coast restaurant.
Cons: Shuttle doesn't run on a reliable schedule.
Location: Hotel part of a 3 hotel collection to give convenient access to patients for BioSpine and soon to be completed Laser Spine Institute.
Location is very convenient to airport and has a shuttle service through A1 Airport Parking. You'll have to go to the taxi area and ask about the shuttle since it's not listed on the airport transportation board...a bit inconvenient if you don't have local knowledge. A real high point about this hotel is the restaurant, Coast. It's actually an independent operation and the hours aren't supper late, closes at 10PM. But, the food is way above par for a hotel at this level. Highly recommend a dinner here. Parking is free in the A1 parking deck with room key unlimited in and out access. Given the location just outside the airport a car makes getting around easier. There is construction going on for building a Laser Spine Institute right next door (literally). It wasn't disturbing since the construction was in the early stage of pouring footings. Later stages may be more of a problem. Check on status of construction before booking within next 6 months.

Pros: Very pleasant front desk area, clean and attractive pool area, friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Better attention to guest room floors. Gluten free choice at breakfast.
At the end of our recent trip / cruise, we stayed at the Hilton Garden, Tampa, before our flight home. We found the reception warm and efficient, room clean with the exception of vacuuming that could have been a bit better, other amenities in the room just fine. Breakfast buffet was adequate for one of us, but the other has Celiac Disease, so she could not eat much of what was offered. One g/free option would be appreciated: EITHER a g/free cereaal choice OR a g/free muffin OR bread OR bagal, etc.

POOR communication

Pros: everything else was fine. well we ate the next day and what we thought was a free continental breakfast turned out to be $25
Cons: COMMUNICATION there is very little clear communication with the guests and the front desk
Location: we were was the airport but we were told by the shuttle service that there was a mall nearby if we wanted to go there
we had a lot of trouble getting the hotel to confirm our reservations we were switched to several people. 1/2 hr later they still couldn't find us so I then had to go to Expedia who was awesome and in 5 minutes took care of things then I went back to confirm with the hotel AGAIN no reservations took another 20 minutes-"someone put my last name down as my first name and my first as my last that is why they could not find the reservation. when we showed up at the hotel the next morning --AGAIN no reservations the same woman that helped clear it up after talking to Expedia and confirmed us, messed it up and then blamed it on Expedia and "someone" who put another name in front of my name which changed the reservations! She said " I knew you dealt with Expedia when I saw the mood you were in!" whoah it had nothing to do with Expedia, thank you very much!

Extremely nice hotel.

Pros: The staff and service was second to none.
Cons: I think you get what you pay for and this hotel has it all.
Location: Great location. However, I was there to visit the casino.
This is actually my second time staying in this hotel It is extremely nice and the staff is great. I brought some friends with me and they were very impressed. The service I received was awesome and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: Great food, congenial server. Convenient to airport.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Good locale, close to airport. Van driver knew the shortcuts to avoid traffic jams.
We just wanted a comfortable room and a good meal, after a long travel day, flying into TPA. Very pleased with the excellent meals we had at the hotel, plus a very personable and congenial server, and a nice wine list. Overall, a very good experience with this hotel. We have stayed at Hilton Garden Inn elsewhere, but this was the best so far.

excellent hotel would stay there again. new very comfortable felt safe, didn't have to leave the hotel bar food very clean & nice, free shuttle service to Airport.
