5/5 Excellent
"The staff was wonderful and they helped book some activities for us. The breakfast was wonderful each morning. Luis with the breakfast staff was super sweet and knowledgeable about things to see and do in Tamarindo as well as La Fortuna. Justin at the front desk was great too. I have To say the housekeeping staff impressed me most though. My sister accidentally left $500 on her bed and the housekeeper tucked it in her bed covers to keep it safe. Such a wonderful and honest establishment!

"We stayed multiple places in Costa Rica and this was by far the best value. The pricing was great and amenities met / exceeded expectations. There are a few maintenance items that could be taken care of around the resort, but none that negatively impacted our stay, and again for the price, were completely acceptable. Overall the resort had a great feeling, and our room was nicely renovated. The views are amazing, to get these views you're a bit up out of 'town' but not a far walk (if you're ok with large hills), or they offer an hourly shuttle to the town center and also the Beach Club.. which was another amazing value add, access to a Beach Club right on Tamarindo beach with another pool and full food / bar service and loungers in the sand. We definitely recommend this as a great spot in Tamarindo!"
"We stayed at a few hotels in the area. This hotel was the best by far, especially because of the staff. The rooms are excellent also but the staff are amazing. "

"This is our 3rd time staying at Cala Luna and we absolutely love it! It gets better each time we return! The rooms are so incredibly lovely, the howler monkeys surrounding the property are a delight but above all the staff is the best! Especially in the restaurant and bars - they are so incredibly welcoming and nice! Andres the bartender is a true mixologist (you have to try his mezcal cocktails)! The beds are so comfortable and it’s a one minute walk to a not crowded beach! The room are well thought out with great detail! We will absolutely come back again! "

"We had an amazing time at the Jardín! 10/10 would recommend, it is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was accommodating and friendly, dinner was a 5 star meal every night. Can’t go wrong with booking this place! Great deal for the quantity you are getting."

"Spent a full week at the JW Marriott and had a really great time with my family (wife and 2 girls 10&11). The hotel was really great when it comes to the pool, beach, staff, parking, and rooms. But really the only downside, is that even for a guy who does pretty darn good for himself, the food prices are just plain crazy, and the selection is very mediocre. $24 for a ham sandwich people, $26 burgers, $22 chicken strips, and if you want to eat at the italian buffet $50 a person for mediocre pasta and pizza...I heard the country can be expensive but its just kind of ridiculous."

"Great location, a couple blocks from the beach. Clean and the service was amazing, Kathryn was so sweet and accommodating. Will be back because of her. "

"Very cool little jungle niche in the heart of Tamarindo. Bit of noise from pubs nearby but not huge issue. The layout of the pool and bar really foster a closer connection to other guests. Great place for solo travelers."
