Very comfortable room, friendly staff. Nice, quiet location, despite being only a yards from two busy roads. Very convenient for the venue we were attending for a seminar. The meals served at the Hotel restaurant were attractively served and enjoyable. There was, however, a very limited menu which remained the same throughout our 4 day stay: No doubt this is partly because January is a very quiet time of year in Tallinn. We were, however, very surprised that the restaurant was closed at lunchtimes at the weekend. This was not mentioned to us in advance. One or two snacks and sandwiches were available to purchase from reception whilst the restaurant was closed but, again, offering very limited choice.
The Radison Hotel proudly announces that, as part of its environmental policy, guest's towels will be changed if the guest leaves the towels on the bathroom floor, but not if towels are left on the towel rail. We fully support this idea and, apart from the towelling shower mat, we hung our towels on the rail each day, indicating that they did not need to be changed. Every day, however, we returned to find fresh towels had been issued. It seems that all hotels in every country we have visited have this same environmental policy, but none of them are actually observing it! We suspect that the cleaning staff believe that not changing the towels might result in their work being criticised. Management need to reassure them that this is not so!
